INTRODUCTION

SINUJAZZ ENSAMBLE SINUJAZZ ENSAMBLE is a collective made of teachers and students of the University of Cordoba. Created in 2010 under the direction of Rodin Caraballo Campo, who got the idea of conforming a musical group on the basis of combining representative Colombian-Caribean rhythms, emphasizing on the vernacular heritage of the region of the department of Cordoba, highlighting porros and fandangos as the main genres, giving these a contemporary sense, merging with other elements of equally importance such as Jazz, Rock, Dance, among others. Through the years, SINUJAZZ takes that name as official name, just after looking for an adequate one which identified the band and kept consistence with the Cordoba region and its musical representation. The collective has participated as special guest in different events, such as: : Antioquia vive la mĂşsica (Goverment of Antioquia) 2010. Atlantijazz (University of AtlĂĄntico) 2011-2013. Sonido libre (University of Cordoba) 2011, 2012,2013 y 2014. As contestants, they have been in Festival Golondrina de Plata -which takes places in Monteria-, ranking first place in 2013, and second in 2014.

Bachelor of Arts - Music graduated from University of Cordoba and teacher in the same university. Is considered as one of the promises of the Department of Cordoba in terms of Electric Bass. He has been a highlighted musician on important groups such as Aglae Caraballo’s “The Queen of Porro Music”.

Bachelor of Arts – Music student in the University of Cordoba. He is one of the most notorious figures of the Department of Cordoba in terms of percussion, highlighting as a musician on important groups such as Aglae Caraballo’s “The Queen of Porro Music”.

He made plenty of musical studies in several academies and universities in Bogota such as University of Bosque and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana; composer and musical producer in Atarraya Pro-Music.

Master in Music with emphasis in Jazz and Popular Music from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and specialist in applied research in education, teacher of the program Arts – Music of the University of Cordoba.

Bachelor of Arts - Music graduated from University of Cordoba. Teacher of the class of Emphasis-Piano of the program of Arts – Music of the University of Cordoba, recognized pianist with great experience, director of musical groups on important training centers such as SENA Monteria.

HERNAN CONTRERAS MESTRA Saxhorn player Recognized as one of the best saxhorn players in the country. Has formed important groups as Lizandro Meza’s, making tours with him in Europe in artistic performances; arts director of the recognized Banda Musical Folclorica 13 de Enero in Canalete.


RODIN CARABALLO CAMPO Trumpeter and musical director. Bachelor of Music graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts - University of Atlantico. Master in Education, teacher of the class of Emphasis-Trumpet in the Arts – Music Program of University of Cordoba and Frist-Trumpet of Juan Carlos Coronel’s Orchestra.

WORK TEAM

SINUJAZZ ENSAMBLE está conformed by an eleven-people work team: 1. Trompet 2. Saxophone 3. Saxhorn 4. Piano 5. Guitar 6. Bass 7. Drums 8. Percussion 9. Sound Engineer (F.O.H) 10. Stage Manager 11. Personal Manager The contractor shall make available and will pay fees for two (2) people who fulfill the work of professional roadies (musician’s auxiliaries) who will attend the band from the arrival of the musicians until its departure. Besides, two (2) people with rigging knowledge will attend the scenography, and will be in charge of the chief stage, from its arrival, during the sound test and staging, and until the end of the performance. The contractor will be the person in charge of the payment, insurances and other aspects of these 4 attendants. (According to the show and the size of the scaffold). Please note: The band will not go to stage without making a previous test sound of minimum 60 minutes of lasting. It is recommended to have the most appropriate setting, without elements or objects that can make the fulfillment and the artists’ comfort difficult.


SYSTEM (P.A.) F.O.H.

A. TYPE OF SYSTEM The system should have enough dynamic capacity as top lay without distortion an average acoustic pression equal to 110 dB SPL scale (A) in mixing position and 102 dB SPL scale (A) in the farthest locations of the stage, this should be amplified and adjusted to guarantee HEADROOM or dynamic reservation of at least 6 dB, which means that it must be able to pass peaks of up to 6 dB more; without noticeable distortion. SUGGESTED MODELS: D&B - NEXO GEO T - L´ ACOUSTIC - MEYER SOUND - ELECTRO VOICE B. POWER AMPLIFIERS The amplifiers should be of current technology and recognized brands in the industry There should be enough quantity of power amplifiers available so that the systems can be operated in a minimum of 4 OHMS per channel. These must be mounted in portable prewired RACKS with multiple safety connectors, safe electric system with connectors and reliable signal distribution in XLR or Multi-Pines. C. ELECTRONIC CONTROL The system must be controlled by a D.S.P. (Digital Signal Processor) or Digital Cross-Over or failing an analogic speaker driver accepted by the manufacturer thereof. D. CONSOLE OR MIXER (F.O.H) / MONITORS Console of minimum 32 mono channels, 4 stereo, 16 auxiliars, and VCA as minimum Digitals: YAMAHA M7CL, YAMAHA PM-5D,YAMAHA CL3, YAMAHA CL5, VENUE SC 48 F. SET OF MICROPHONES The set de microphones to use is specified in the INPUT LIST appendant to this RIDER. For any changes please contact the sound engineer of SINUJAZZ ENSAMBLE. Besides, at least 4 passive direct boxes are needed. G. SNAKE SNAKE of 32 channels as minimum, with SPLITTER of minimum 25 Metters in STAGE. Preferably: WHIRLWIND CONCERT

SECURITY FENCING 01 Security fence to surround the audio hall 01 Security fence in front of the stage, rigid structure to a distance not less than 1.50 mts from the stage and minimum to 1.50 mts high, enough to cover all the lateral areas thereof. IMPORTANT NOTE: The floor of the stage must be smooth, steady and totally leveled in solid color (grey or black) with no obstacles thereof. All the stage, on stage, extensions of the stage, wings p.a. with no exception must be lined with black rope. *in closed places such as saloons or discos, the proportions of the stage will be fit to the criteria of production, therefore a site plan in advice is required.


For the outlet, an electricist during the assembly, show and disassembly must be provided. He will be in charge of the connections.

• The electrical current required for our equipments is 110 Volts. • 5 points in stage are used In all the cases the generator conditions will be checked, being subject to the criteria of the production manager. NOTE Microphones, bases and wiring (inserts, XLR, plug, etc.) must be provided as specified in the Input List. Any sustitution in micrphones and peripherals must be consulted with the artist’s production. The electric currentof the stages provided must be of 110V, constants and in the same AC network that the audio system. The outlets must be located in the marked areas in the Stage Plot (extra outlets are required). The local sound system must be installed and working 12 hrs before the show.

1 AMPEG SVT4 PRO 1 cabin 8 x 10 or similar. NOTE: For the bass’ amps please count on a reinforcement equipment in each case, and emergency fuses for the headstocks.

SOUNDCHECK

SINUJAZZ ENSAMBLE staff will be present in the location where the presentation will take place 12 hours before the show, for which it will be necessary to have the sound company and back lines’s staff in readiness and attentive to attend the staff in as required in order to accomplish an effective and smoothly soundcheck; once the alignment and the calibration of the system, line check, and insert points are done, SINUJAZZ ENSAMBLE will be testing during 2 hours, 6 hours before the sow. NOTE: when the soundcheck is completed, no changes are allowed in the adjustment of the hall console and monitors. During the Sound-Check and the presentation, the access to the stage of any person different to musicians and technicals of SINUJAZZ ENSAMBLE is not allowed. The coaching of the sound company is also allowed during the sound checking. Musicians from other bands must wait until they are invited to go to the stage, and they will be allowed to be there only while assigned. Our staff will be in charge of guaranteeing the best technical conditions in the stage. If there is any change in the RIDER, please contact previously the Sound Engineer of SINUJAZZ ENSAMBLE. This Rider was made for SINUJAZZ ENSAMBLE by its Sound Engineer, in order to ensure to the organizers and to the band, the bast show ever.


There must be a private site, safe and with a permanent surveillance, wide and with enough lighting to save instruments and equipment of the band; disposed near to the main stage, with easy access to restrooms, adequately stocked with refreshing drinks for at least 12 people, 12 medium towels, and 12 chairs.
