Hadleigh and Boxford Patient Participation Group (PPG)

To date over 1550, clinically vulnerable patients, 75 plussers and care home residents have received their Covid booster jabs. As ever, volunteers did sterling work in the car parks to prevent any mishaps and offer assistance to anyone who needed it. Sincere thanks to them for their time and patience during the two Saturday clinics in April and May.

Due to the Health Centre’s essential renovation work which should be completed soon, there is unavoidable disruption in the Practice car park. Apologies for any inconvenience incurred. In the meantime, please bear this in mind when coming for an appointment and, if possible, park elsewhere. If you do park in the Toppesfield Hall ‘public’ car park for a Doctor’s appointment or speedy visit to the Pharmacy remember you still need to display a parking ticket.

Plans are progressing for the installation of a mini art exhibition in the main waiting area. Work of senior High School students will be on display for all to see.

If you enjoy the great outdoors why not join a very special walking group at 10am on Sunday 16th July? This leisurely ramble is in memory of the late Gareth Meredith who loved walking. It will start at the Boxford Practice and, clear signage, will take walkers cross country for 5½ miles to their final destination; the Hadleigh Practice.Families and pets are most welcome but you do walk at your own risk. You will also be responsible for your own transport arrangements. Parking at the start is very limited. No fee to join the walk but a voluntary donation will be possible. All money collected will be used to buy an infrared vein finder for use in the newly created Phlebotomy Room within the Practice.

Finally, a big thank you to the dedicated team at the Practice who gave up their Saturdays to man the vac clinics so that those eligible could receive their booster locally and not have to travel miles to an unknown, unfamiliar centre.
