Sidewalk Toronto Quayside Unit Study Toronto, Canada, gh3* Sidewalk Lab’s Quayside Project investigates a modular approach to an adaptable and efficient unit design. This development aims to decrease the cost of living in the city, commuting as well as improving access to mobility infrastructure and green spaces. In order to achieve these key features, Sidewalk Labs units are based on a modular system utilizing a cross-laminated timber (CLT) system that will accelerate construction and lower greenhouse gas emissions over the development’s lifespan. Each suite is developed around the concept of the “wetbox”, a prefabricated unit composed of the kitchen and the washroom allowing and efficient transportation and installation of the mechanical and plumbing components. Mission: Research / schematic design / renderings / deliverable documents production. Partial team managment.

Refurbishing and developement of an old BMW dealership into an office building, Paris, France, SAA Architecture. In the heart of the 16 th arrondissement of Paris, a few steps from the TrocadĂŠro, rue Lauriston. Previously built of both a 19th century luxury apartment complex and 1960s concrete building. Our project was to convert this multi-storey dealership garage into an office building. After much research, we were able to determine which parts to save and refurbish, which to demolish and which to elevate in order to restore architectural meaning to the existing buildings, and orient this new ambitious project. This project was entirely managed on Revit. Mission: plan drawings, design research, technical drawings, main contact of the structural office and the perspectivist, partial team managment, meeting participation. Transformation of a private industrial lot into a public access office complex, Saint-Ouen, France, SAA Architecture. On a historic FENWICK Co. industrial site, with a great of variety of existing height zoning and programming. Inspired by the theme of the “cité” (the historical urban pedestrian neighborhood), the project had the goal of creating a friendly and convivial, public open space. A pedestrian walkway is integrated into the project to give back public ownership of the urban space, and offer an efficient means for pedestrians to navigate the imposing space. This project, conceived with multiple strata and carefully oriented buildings, is restoring the charm of the traditional pedestrian district to its modern neighborhood, and creating a more pleasant environment to nearby buildings. This developement was critical to the city of Saint-Ouen, in its goal to revitalize the city’s urban character and integration into the “Grand Paris” master project; our design focused on this goal, in restoring the historic neighborhood value of the site, and expanding its potential urban pedestrians, office workers and neighborhood inhabitants. Mission: plan drawings, design research, intermediate renders. Phases: Schematic design / Design developement Project master: Sogeprom Project manager: SAA Architectes - representatives Surface: 25 000 m2

Saint-Denis Pleyel, a bridge to live, ENSAPM, 2014. Céline Coderch, Jan Feichtinger.
This assignment was an exercise in designing the “ G r e a t P a r i s E x p r e s s ”, a c u r r e n t u r b a n - p l a n n i n g project bridging major railway tracks to connect central Paris, France to the rapidly- evolving neighborhood which St. Denis is part. The final project consists of a central exhibition hall crossing the full length of the tracks, opening on to grand views of the famous Basilica of S a c r é C œ u r, t h e S t a d e d e F r a n c e o r t h e B a s i l i c a of St. Denis. Within the central crossing, many adaptable neighborhood and program spaces are accessible to pedestrians. The structural steel of the building remains exposed thoughout each space and the façade, to echo the dynamic mobility of pedestrians through the structure. The supporting pillars mean to conjure images of the electrical installations of t h e t r a c k s b e l o w. Overall, the project intends to create strong relationships between different space modalities, including housing, office and transpor t, to create a dynamic neighborhood space for this fastgrowing area of Paris.

Workshop, Inflatable structure, ENSAPM, 2012. Hans Walter Muller
This workshop project was the realization of an inflatable structure from the assembly of four spheres. The focus of the workshop was to explore the technical and material considerations of this type of architecture.
Workshop, Cardboard Structure, ENSAPM, 2013. Constance Varin, Marguerite Wable.
The focus of this workshop project was to explore the design and construction of a light cardboard module; our particular research elaborated on the form of a triangle. The use of folding in the final project allowed us to overcome the limited structural capacity of a single, light-weight model, resulting in a final 3-meter high arch.
Workshop, Digital Design Literacy, ENSAPM, 2012. Alienor Ibled
This workshop project aimed to teach the basic use of the parametric software “Digit a l P r o j e c t . T h e a s s i g n m e n t w a s t o d e v e l o p a hyperboloid form using the software, and realize it in a final model using a laser cutt e r.

T h i s a s s i g n m e n t w a s t o c r e a t e a n o p e n - a i r, c o v e r i n g structure for an existing staircase in the main train station of Caen, France. The required surface area was 300 square meters. The final structure is 20 meters by 15 meters, with a height of 5.5 meters. The principle of the design is to offer considerable cover with the minimum use of visually obstruc ting pillars. It is based on an “under t e n s i o n s y s t e m , w i t h a f l y i n g c o l u m n a t t h e c e n t e r. The roof is designed as a stitched-glass pattern overlying the structure.
