AGRICULTURE VOCATIONAL SCHOOL 2019 / Architecture Design Studio IV Tentor : Dr. Firmansyah ST., MT.
The case given was to build an Agriculture-based Vocational School located inside Daarut Tauhid Complex of Parongpong, Northern Bandung. Beside to respond food sustainability issue, It aimed to respond common issues regarding the development of Peri - Urban Area. One main issue in question is how, we as a designer would be able to develop the site given without altering much of its determinants. The proposed idea was to build with sustainability in mind. Here, I brought up the idea of Permaculture and Biocyclofarming concept and translate the ideas into the tangible forms of mass and supporting facilities.

Site is differentiated into three main area based on its characteristics and proximity. The farthest area host the bio-waste and water treatment plant, while the most accessible area is designated for the school building.
3
To create an intriguing form of space poetics and maintain its permeability factor, buildings are lined up facing an imaginary axis that frame its occupants to the best vista.
The three proposed masses correspond each other by its function and are connected through landscape features and bridge. The masses are also placed according to the proposed axis concept to frame the vista.

SUMUR BANDUNG SUB-DISTRICT OFFICE 2018 / Architecture Design Studio III
Tentor : Ir. Wiwik Dwi Pratiwi MES., Ph.D
The aim was to propose a design for Sumur Bandung Sub-District Office of Bandung, Indonesia. Sumur Bandung itself is a sub-district that is strategically located in the center of Bandung where the business district and affluent neighborhood are located. The design goal was to provide spaces that are able to support a well functioning public office in an efficient way. Another issue to tackle is the common impression of sub-district office. It’s quite contradictory of how a public service building feels cloistral to its adjacent neighborhood and locals. The proposed idea was to re-visualize its impression through embracing locality features and visual openness concept. In results, it formed a public service building that is both contextual and well functioned.

The site is laid out in several zones. In general it is the building pad, the parking space, and the landscape feature.
One of the design aim is to provide space that is efficient and easy to access. Here a minimum path of circulation is laid for easier wayfinding.
One single mass are extruded from the building pad. The mass is set back few meters to provide spaces for parking and landscape features.
The mass is differentiated based on its level of privacy. Ground floor, with the highest accessibility host communal features and public services, while upstairs are the offices which need higher level of privacy.
The two spaces composition are spaced to create distinction based on its privacy level, and to provide space for the roof garden (which also act as buffer/transition between two different level of privacy)
One space is subtracted to create an open space for the veranda which is intended to provide space for the local to gather, and create an interesting asymmetrical feels.

URBAN COMMUNITY GALLERY 2018 / Architecture Design Studio III Tentor : Ir. Wiwik Dwi Pratiwi MES., Ph.D.
The plot was to design a community center in the hustling urban neighborhood of Asia Afrika, Bandung. It aimed to provide spaces and cater the needs of local community residing nearby, thus provide an Urban Oase in the area through the exploration of mass and composition. One main issue to tackle is how do we gain advantage of the site locality values to provide the needs of locals in an unique and effective way. The name of proposed building was Neuehaus which in its literal meaning translate to the words of “House of Novelty. The name considered as it be, since it was designed in mind to provide space for those aspiring artist and creative entrepeneurs to collaborate, and also to create melting pot between local and German culture to develop together. Aside from that, the building sits on a stretch of road which is well known for being the center of Electronics and Engineering. Therefore, the idea of Bauhaus inspired building are brought up.

The site is laid out in three different zone. The one adjacent to the street is intended for retails and functions who need high visibility, where the farthest serve functions with high level of privacy.
19
The circulation paths are laid out in a linear form for an easier wayfinding and effective space lay-outs.
The massing idea is three repeating blocks with each block serves different function based on its level of privacy. The three adjacent masses are connected through one block of mass.

CISITU COMMUNITY PARK 2018 / Landscape Design Studio Tentor : Dr. Ing. Andry Widyowijatnoko, ST., MT.
The case given was to design a community park in Cisitu neighborhood of Bandung, Indonesia. It was once a student dormitory for the adjacent Bandung Institute of Technology, now demolished to make way for future development. It aimed to provide ample spaces for the locals in the nearby neighborhood to gather, thus improving the accessibility that is needed to connect both Sangkuriang and Cisitu neighborhood, which was poorly connected. The approach was through site analysis and inventory method to determine its characteristics and locality values. In result, it is a well laid community park plan that is both interesting and effective.

The mass initial idea was to act as separators between the parking facility and the park area. Hence the mass formed a linear-like shape that is later on subtracted to give space for both pedestrian and wind circulation.
The pedestrian flow is laid out in one curvilinear form that connects the two poorly connected area; the Sangkuriang and Cisitu neighborhood. Vehicular circulation is intended to be minimal to encourage walking activites.
The area is differentiated based on its topography characteristics. It is differentiated mainly into 3 areas; the building pad, water reservoir and greeneries area. 27
