Student body

The students at Haileybury Rendall School embrace the School’s high expectations. The student body is made up of both day and boarding students.

Student numbers

On Census Day, 5 August 2022, Haileybury Rendall School had an enrolment of 827 students (Transition to Year 12), of whom 367 were boys and 460 were girls. This enrolment included 122 Aboriginal students. Haileybury Rendall School also had Early Learning Centre enrolments of 44 for a total enrolment of 871.

Student attendance and retention

Attendance

Attendance is taken each period and electronically recorded. Parents of students who are to be absent are asked to ring reception before School. Parents of students who have not confirmed their child’s absence by recess are contacted by SMS requesting information. In 2022, the attendance rate was 94.82%.

Retention

71.43% of students in Year 12 had attended the School since at least Year 9.

Vocational and trade training

5.2% of Years 10-12 boys and 2.2% of Years 10-12 girls were undertaking Vocational or Trade Training. A total of 3.9% were Year 12 students.

Five students completed a Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) qualification in 2022.
