The OHA is indebted to those who work behind the scenes to ensure that our clubs are functioning at the standard required to exist in their various competitions and environments.
As at March 31, 2023 the OHA was fortunate to have the following clubs represent the organisation:
AIKMAN (ROWING CLUB) Nat Callea (OH 1992)
ATHLETICS/CROSS COUNTRY CLUB Andrew Scott (OH 1991)
BOWLS CLUB Mark Thompson (OH 1982) / Jim Bonwick (OH 1966)
COMPETITION AEROBICS Jessie Curtain (OH 2014)
CRICKET CLUB Peter Sise (OH 2000)
DANCE/HIP HOP CLUB Michelle Talledo (OH 2017)
FOOTBALL CLUB Matthew Armstrong (OH 1988)
GOLF CLUB John Fergusson (OH 1985)
HOCKEY CLUB Clark Anstis (OH 1975)
WATER POLO CLUB James Walsh (OH 2004)
The key highlights for our Clubs in this time were;
• The return to competition for many of our Clubs following two years of COVID restrictions.
• The success of OHA Football winning the Men’s Premiership and thereby returning the Club to the Premier section of the VAFA.
• An extraordinary year from OHA Cricket with the senior men’s team winning through to the semi-final in Division One.
• OHA Dance producing an incredible performance to place at the State Championships and qualify for the Nationals.
• OHA Bowls, in only their second season, winning the SDELBA Division 4 Premiership with mostly first or second year players.
• Aikman Club (Rowing) becoming further entrenched as a Club at Carrum, supporting the current School program and naming three new boats in honour of alumni and club supporters.
The OHA Clubs Grants program once again assisted our Clubs immensely through the funding of important programs and equipment including;
OHA Football - Various assistance with club financial rebuild including physiotherapy services, General Manager and other.
OHA Cricket - Funds requested to support women’s cricket 2022/23.
OHA Bowls - Club grant to support years 2 and 3 of club development and progression.
OHA Dance and OHA Aerobics - Provision of support to allow for entries to State and National Championships.
