Statement Creation has always been one of my biggest strengths; continually fascinating, yet challenging me, and always adapting between my own perspective and originality. Being able to learn, acclimate, and exploit visuals that explain a thought better than words, is a skill I hope to practice indefinitely. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati, School of Architecture and Interior Design (Bachelor’s in Architecture), I have been able to since then apply my own visual philosophies to real world presentations and production drawings at Herscoe Hajjar Architects. Simultaneous use of programs, such as AutoCAD, Sketchup/VRay, and Photoshop, can create effective and revealing visuals that harmonize information with aesthetically pleasing graphics. This is where my creative mind soars. Working closely with high-end clientele, my role at Herscoe Hajjar Architects included conceptualizing, drafting, 3D modeling, and construction-documenting custom, Southwest Florida residential architecture. These projects included everything from new-build homes, to renovations on various scales, with my duties partaking in daily use of programs such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, and SketchUp to reach the goals of the firm.

In addition to rendering and drafting for smaller residential renovations in the Washington D.C. and surrounding area, AutoCAD drawings were utilized for commercial and government buildings of many different scopes. 2017 Lyceum Competition This project was a small branch library competition sited on Audubon Terrace in Manhattan, between 155th and 156th Streets on Broadway.This proposal for the Audubon Terrace Library celebrates the book as that which shapes our thinking and expands our worlds. Books are the basis of our knowledge; the oldest, strongest, most reliable form of transferred wisdom. No matter our cultural background, books provide us with a foundation and structure for our lives from which we can reach out and experiment with new ideas. The ‘Forever Free’ Audubon Terrace Library takes this idea literally. Five, three-foot thick bookshelves made of cast reinforced concrete support the entirety of the building. Without the stacks, the building would not be standing… just as we would not be here today without books and the knowledge, perception, and passed information that we are granted from them.

Affordable Housing - Cincinnati Apartments Cincinnati occupies an interesting and traditional place in the realm of domestic architecture. This project called for a multi-use space that included public, semi-public, and private spaces while maintaining low-cost materiality and building that agreed with it’s surroundings. With 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments, the building takes on the role of maximizing the views to downtown Cincinnati by creating two separate towers and utilizing corner conditions for each type of unit to have access all directional perspectives.

Architecture Camp - BENT With the site set on Mount Airy in Cincinnati, Ohio, this project was a proposal for a sleepover summer camp for Architecture students. After laborious study of tectonics and choosing a type of structural form, in this case being tension membrane, we were tasked with pushing the concepts of the structures to the limit while sticking to the program. I directed this in a way that was exaggerated, almost sarcastically showing a rhetorical architecture through use of renders and marital organic gestures throughout the project as a whole.
