Malaysia is blessed with ample amount of land yet not all such land are developed adequately to ensure that communities around are able to utilize these spaces in their everyday life. The more liveable spaces a community has, the more sustainable the township is.
What is needed is architecture of change - an architecture that moves the field beyond the design of buildings and toward the design of new processes of engagement with communities.
The thesis is comprised of two stages. The first stage is research based on the relevant case studies and the approach towards its application in local context.
