We have grown, and as always super excited to grow into our brand. I hope you will join us on this bright new and happy adventure. Our focus going forward will be Tweens and Teens. We want to focus on reaching out to all the tweens and teens for collaborations. Contact us at hello@halcyonkids.us As Spring is upon us, we have beautiful flowers, sunny days and many outdoor adventures with our family. That being said, don’t forget to stay hydrated, take allergy preventative measures, protect your skin from the sun, check your local weather before going out and make sure you are prepared. Also, it is always a great idea go be up to date on your basic safety basics, and learning CRP and First Aid could be a life saver. I wish you all well. Until next issue. Enjoy every moment.

Dream Big
with Amy Bremner
I have a passion for fun and beautiful design. My mac and prismacolor pencils are the mediums I prefer to work with when I create. My mission is to develop uplifting and intriguing art pieces that speak to the heart. I live in the pacific wonderland of the great northwest. While I love rain, I hate clouds. If only it could rain while the sun was shining! Sunshine & rainbows, who could ask for anything more? If I’m not sitting in my art studio designing beautiful things, I’m probably doing mom stuff with my little girl, Tilly. You can also find me wandering around in the forest, either hiking or looking for a random dirt road to explore in my jeep. Hanging out with my family is also very high up on my list. I love art, design, my family, chocolate, my great friends, when other people cook me food, building things, working on my little house, exploring and all things outdoors‌ except clouds. mixed-medium folk artist adventure seeker hiker of forest trails expert camper mountain bike rider big fan of the sun supermom chocolate enthusiast bush pilot (I wish) Amy Bremner

Payton Myers
Hi Payton, we are so excited to be featuring you in this Spring issue. Can you give us a brief background about you? I’m eight years old. I live in a small town, attend public school where I’m an honor student. Math and science are my favorite subjects. I enjoy watching Disney and TV shows about science and history. I recently started taking acting classes and I’m having a blast. I love to try new things and I’m always asking my Mom if I can take some class. When I grow up I want to be an actress, model, and doctor.
You are a model, ballerina, hip-hop, jazz dancer, gymnasts, at what age did you develop a desire to be involved in these activities and how did you get started? I've been on stage since I was three years doing something whether it was dancing, cheering, gymnastics, Community Theater or pageants so modeling was the next step. My Mom submitted a photo of me to Child Model Magazine for the Years Most Beautiful Competition where I was voted one of the 50 Most Beautiful for 2014 and 2015. I attended my first modeling competition in June of 2015 for Child Model Magazine and was totally shocked when I won Comp Model of the Year. That same weekend Nancy Vuu invited me to shoot the cover of the September 2015 issue of Child Model Magazine along with three other amazing models. Shortly after that I flew to Los Angeles to be a part in Nancy Vuu's short film about children's fashion and have walked for her brand in New York Fashion Week twice. Typically when we think of ballerinas we think of tutu's and delicate moves, but the truth is you have to be strong to be a ballerina. Are your friends surprised how strong you are? Yes, they think I'm strong but what really surprises them is when they see how flexible I am. Ballet requires a lot of practice and commitment. How much time do you dedicate to training and practicing? What 2 things do you take away from training that help you outside of ballet? I started dancing when I was two in a Mommy and Me class. Since then I've spent around 10 - 12 hours a week in ballet, hip-hop, jazz, tumbling and team practices. The most important things I have learned is that you have to have dedication and discipline to be successful. How has modeling and ballet help shape your confidence? Modeling and dance have taught me so much, how to move to music, overcome shyness talking to adults, and how to carry myself. What are some of your favorite hobbies? Shopping with my Mom, riding four-wheelers with my Dad, swimming, ice skating, riding my bike and hanging out with my friends. What advice would you give to children your age that want to start or continue in your footsteps? Work hard and enjoy every minute! I've made some amazing friends and worked with some of the best designers, photographers and stylist in the children's industry.
