One bright, sunny day, little Jeremiah awoke from his wonderful night of dreams. While the dreams were great, he decided he wanted them to all come true.
When he told his brothers all the things he would do that day, they weren’t so sure he could make it happen. But Jeremiah was sure he could.
Jeremiah wanted to be the fastest little mouse in all the land, so he did it.
He ran and ran and ran, all the way to the big mountain, and in record time!
After catching his breath, Jeremiah wanted to be the strongest mouse in the world. So he was.
He took a long look up to the top of the mountain, and he started to climb. Little by little he got closer to his goal, and soon, he made it, all by himself.
Now Jeremiah was very proud. He sat down for a while and looked as far as he could see. From the top of the mountain, everything was different! He could see farther than anyone else in the world. He saw the fields where he and his brothers played, the river where they all went to swim, and even his home where his brothers were playing in the sand.
By this time, Jeremiah was getting very hungry, and his brothers looked like they were having so much fun back home. But he still had one more dream he needed to come true.
Jeremiah wanted to fly off the top of the mountain, see the entire world, and go all the way home. So he did.
With his eyes closed tight, and his thoughts on the sky, and the birds way up high, he twirled his little tail just as hard as he could.
Soon he felt himself going up, up, UP! He opened his eyes, and saw he was flying. He flew so high he could touch the clouds. He talked to the birds, and soaked in the sun.
All too soon, he saw his house below. So he came back down and ran to his mom. With a big warm hug, and a nice warm meal, he told his family all about his day and his big dreams come true.
Even when life says you can’t make all your dreams come true, little Jeremiah knew that he could, and he did.
