Recent design and production innovations across the Mahalo range have delivered substantial enhancements to the sound quality and playability of our instruments: SOUNDHOLE: Adjustments to the diameter of the soundhole delivers maximum volume, projection and clarity. BODY: Increasing the depth of the body across the top bout provides increased projection and a richer, wider tonal palette particularly in the lower registers. BRACING: Modified and repositioned internal bracing allows our tops to vibrate more freely resulting in increased response, clarity and sound definition. BRIDGE: A newly redesigned bridge with a narrower footprint allows better top vibration boosting both volume and sustain. NECK PROFILE - JAVA SERIES: The new, CNC machine shaped, slim neck profile on all Java Series instruments provides greater player comfort and a faster playing action. HEADSTOCK: The re-designed shape of our headstock profiles (at nut joint) allows the player’s fretting hand easier access to first fret chord fingerings and lowregister notes. AQUILA SUPER NYLGUT STRINGS: For enhanced tuning stability and sound quality, Aquila Super Nylgut strings are fitted to the entire Mahalo ukulele range.
