Make sure the meter is off. Turn the meter over. Turn the code key over so that the code number faces away from you, then push it into the code chip slot until it stops.
1/ Press & release to turn the meter on. The time & date appear on the display. “Set up� & the hour flash.
2/ Press & release or to decrease or increase the hour. Press & hold down or to scroll faster.

3/ Press & release to set the hour when the correct hour is showing. To confirm the hour setting, press and release the . The minutes will then flash.
4/ Repeat steps 2 to 3 to set the minutes, day, month and year. The flashing field is the one you are changing.
5/ Once you set the year, press & hold until the flashing test strip appears.
3 Prepare your Accu-Chek Multiclix lancet device
1/ Remove the cap. Insert new lancet drum with the blue ring first. Click the drum into place. Replace the cap.
2/ Select the required penetration depth by turning the adjustment ring.
nb: Once the lancet drum has been removed it is unable to be reinserted.
3/ Press the priming button down like a ball-point pen. When primed, the transparent release button will become yellow.
4/ Press the lancing device against the side of your fingertip and press the release button.
5/ The zebra stripes show how many spare lancets are left. To change the lancet, simply twist the end.

1/ Wash & dry your hands. Take one test strip from the test strip container. close the container tightly.
2/ Insert the test strip into the meter in the direction of the arrows. The meter turns on.
3/ Make sure the code on the display matches the code number on the test strip container.
4/ When the blood drop flashes on screen, obtain a drop of blood from your fingertip.
5/ Gently milk your finger to assist the flow of blood. This helps you get a blood drop.
6/ Touch the drop to the front edge of the yellow window of the test strip. do not put blood on top of the test strip.

8/ When you see flash, you have enough blood in the test strip. If you applied blood, but do not see the flashing , you may reapply more blood within five seconds.

always wash your hands in warm water & dry your hands before handling the test strips. use the side of the finger to obtain blood – it’s less painful. After pricking the finger gently milk it, don’t squeeze excessively. apply blood to the end of the test strip in the yellow window. always store strips in the original container & replace the lid immediately. change your code key each time you open a new vial of strips.
