2016 Best
Korean Dramas 2016 was nothing but paradise for drama lovers. There were so many amazing dramas that one might simply not have enough time to watch them all. However among all, there were 3 dramas that are tight for the best drama of the year, not only that, they might even get on the list of ‘Best Korean Dramas Ever’ Descendants Of The Sun. This drama made some history this year. After being discharges from the military serves Song Joong Kimakes the best choice to take on the role of Captain Yoo Shi Jin. The Song-Song couple made everyone fall in love with them as they overcome personal and outside issues that keep on pilling up. W: Two Worlds was a drama that had us on the edge of our seats, or bed, depends on how you like to watch yours. The plot was captivating from the beginning but the twist that keep coming up never let us take a breath as the main characters had to find the solutions to the obstacles that kept on building up. The unpredictableness of this drama is what makes ‘W’ so unique as it is very difficult to find this factor nowadays. For those who love to watch historical drama, you simply cannot go wrong with Moon Lovers:
Scarlet Heart Ryeo. This drama has everything: amazing actors, flower boys, great emotional acting, breathtaking sets and the plot that will make you smile, laugh, cry and all the elements that will give you an emotional rollercoaster. Not only that, but the drama is set in Koryu era, which depicts the beginning of Korean history that we know. During this period you could see a different side to traditional clothing too as it did not yet evolve into the Hanbok we know now. All in all, this drama ties for the 1st place of the best drama in 2016. There were few more dramas that stole part of our hearts and without doubt deserve a watch. They include a drama about the dorkiest, yet cutest couple ‘Lucky Romance; new generation of Flower 4 with a girl that can take of them on ‘Cinderella and Four Knights’; a drama with a main character that will keep you wondering about his true nature, yet still loving him ‘Cheese in The Trap’; solve ghost problems with ‘Let’s Fight Ghost’; enjoy another love story between ‘Doctors’; go though a heartbreaking story of young love with ‘Uncontrollably Fond’; or unexpectedly finding out you have a step dad who is way too hot for that role in ‘A Stranger Living In Our House’; and to finish this year spend it with a gorgeous goblin and too handsome Grim Ripper in ‘Goblin’. Why Is It Better To Adopt Dogs From Korea?
K
orea is thought to be a great, modern, growing country. With fast development many Koreans enjoy having a small sized pet. Here pooches are pampered to the extreme. Doggy cafes. doggy hotels, doggy-sitters, special boutique shops and gourmet treats all cater to the little fur babies. However, Korea has a problem. In Korea there are thousands of abandoned dogs, cats and other small animals. Astonishingly, after the pretty pet starts being not as pretty, or barks too much, causes trouble by peeing and destroying things in the house or simply grows up to be much bigger than wanted the owners in Korea part with the pets quite quickly. Most common method is releasing animal on the streets or parks, thinking it will survive on its own or fate will be their destiny. Other less common method is bringing the pet to the local vet or shelter. Whenever the animal is surrendered to a shelter is it likely to be killed within a short period of time. Why is that? Because in Korea the animal shelters are mostly Kill-shelters, a non-kill shelter is fairly difficult to find.
N
ow, not all Koreans are terrible owners. Sometimes its just unfortunate circumstances. And there are plenty of folks who help the animals in need. A lot of foreigners in Korea are active advocates, fosters, adopters and volunteers for the animals in need. They rescue many animals every day from streets or killshelters and move them to a non-kill shelters or rescues or foster them in their own homes. There is a big online community of Facebook that does just that. It is very inspiring what they do there.
Reasons
• You are saving a life! • You will help discourage and reduce the puppy mills of Korea by adopting • Korean rescues are often have purebred breeds dog and cats alike. • Small Common Available Breeds: Maltese, Toy Poodles, Yorkies, Shitzhu, Spitz, Beagles, Chihuahua, Mini Pins, Bull dogs. • Big Common Available Breeds: Labradors, Golden Retrievers, Huskies, Malamutes, German Shepherds, Hounds • Jindos are Korean dogs that are amazing companions and great for many families. You can’t get a Jindo from anywhere else! • There are many fairly young animals, puppies, kittens • The adoption fee is low from English Rescues. Average 50-300$ in order to prevent meat market purchases • If adopting directly from City Pound your adoption fee is approximately 10$. • You discourage and prevent meat market purchases by Adopting The people involved can help with the paperwork. You don’t need to come to Korea. The adoption process is quick and easy. Unless you are in Japan, then it is fairly long process with the steps to prepare your new pet for flying over due to country’s strict laws. Other countries such as UK have restrictions on aggressive breeds. Do check your country’s laws of animal entry. It is fairly easy to bring animals to USA, Canada and Russia. Couriers are available for flying your new pet Special services for transporting your pet are available.

Transportation Please note that Rescues and Fosters are NOT responsible for covering the cost of flying your selected pet. However, the average cost of the process is usually less than purchasing a pet from your local shop or breeder. If your new pet is suitable for in-cabin traveling it is between 75-200 dollars, depending on the airline for their spot. Each airline has guidelines for in-cabin qualifications but in general under 8kg with the carrier is allowed in-cabin. You must contact the airline for request of pet. Each airplane model has different amount of pets permitted spaces available per Class (i.e., economy, business) Best to call in advance for the arrangements. Hard carrier required for over 8kg pets to be placed along the with the baggage. Same inquiry for space to airline is required.

Korean Parkas Korean Parkas also commonly called Down Coat are one of Winter trademarks in Korea. Every one buckles up their puffy coats to keep the bitter winter cold away. The Korean Parkas are not only for the solidity of warmth but also they play an important role amongst young adults as part of fashion statement. Do you wear a long black parka? You are probably showing off how cool you are! Or are you sporting something more of hunter or creme colors? Perhaps you want to show off your laid back and casual side. Whichever parka you choose you are always the winner in fashion automatically!

Hot Hot Packs The winter has come and that means another 3 months or so of freezing in the cold. The worst is for those who have to travel long distances or who are stuck outside for a long period of time. This is the worst scenario and not even a single thing to keep us even a little bit more warm. For these times there is nothing better then a hot pack. They are your pocket buddies that will give that small boost so you can last longer until you arrive to destination. So here are few hot packs you can choose from: Single use There are few varieties of it. The main difference is the time that it can last. All you have to do is open up the pack and shake it until you start feeling the heat. There are different sizes the time for each is around 6hours for small and 10-14hours for big. Single use packs also come in a stick on kind, and one them is used for the soles of your feet, so will not get that frost bite on your toes. Not only that, but Korea also came out with a some adorable pockets that you can keep the hot pack in so you won’t burn your hands when its too warm.
Reusable Here is where you can have some fun piking the one that suits your taste more. As this is an item you going to have for some time, Korea tries to make it as adorable as possible. Reusable hot packs come in 3 different kinds, the liquid one, the bean one and the use recharchable one. For liquid ones all you have to do is boil them to be able to use again. The USB port hot packs are good for those who have an easy access for electronics or good when you spend a lot of the time next to your computer. The bean ones work after you heat them up in a microwave, as well as they come in a keychain format. So just hang them up on your bag and heat them up in any convenience store on your way. Stay warm everyone!
