كتب محمود عبد الؽنى معتمرا إلى أعلنت شركة مصر للطٌران ،عن تسٌرها الٌوم األحد 17 ،رحلة جوٌة لنقل 3650 ً األراضى المقدسة ،من مطارات القاهرة واإلسكندرٌة واألقصر. وقالت الشركة ،إنه من المقرر أن تقلع 8رحالت من القاهرة إلى جدة ،على أن تكون أول رحلة صباحا ،إضافة إلى رحلتٌن من اإلسكندرٌة إلى جدة - رقم MS 665تقلع فى تمام 02:00 ً صباحا ،ورحلة واحدة من األقصر أول رحلة رقم MS 645تقلع فى التمام الساعة 03:40 ً صباحا ،وذلك بإجمالى 11 إلى جدة -تقلع الرحلة رقم MS 673فى تمام الساعة 00:35 ً رحلة جوٌة لنقل 2300راكب. وأضافت الشركة ،أنه من المقرر إقالع 5رحالت من القاهرة إلى المدٌنة المنورة -أول رحلة رقم MS693تقلع فى تمام 01:25صباحاً ،إضافة إلى رحلة من اإلسكندرٌة إلى المدٌنة المنورة -الرحلة رقم MS679تقلع فى تمام الساعة 08:10صباحاً ،وذلك بإجمالى 6رحالت لنقل 1350راك ًبا.

وقالت حملة نشطاء وكوادر الشركة فً تفنٌدها لما ذكره الوزٌر ،إن هناك بالفعل نسبة كبٌرة جدا من العمالة عند المقارنة بٌن عدد العمالة وطائرات الشركة فً حال مقارنة العدد فقط بمصر للطٌران كشركة للخطوط فقط ،إال أن مصر للطٌران تمتلك شركة للشحن الجوي لدٌها 3طائرات كبٌرة الحجم لم ٌتم حسابها ضمن الـ 62طائرة الخاصة بأسطول الشركة ،إلى جانب موظفٌها الذٌن تم حسابهم من مجمل العدد ()31600 موظؾ. وأضافت الحملة أن مصر للطٌران لدٌها مستشفى وبه موظفون محسوب تعدادهم من مجمل العدد الذي ذكره الوزٌر ،كما أن لدٌها شركة خدمات أرضٌة وشركة للخدمات الجوٌة تقوم بخدمة العدٌد من شركات الطٌران التى تهبط بمطار القاهرة ،وأٌضا عددهم محسوب ضمن العدد الكلً لشركة مصر للطٌران. وأكدت أن مصر للطٌران لدٌها شركة سٌاحة وأسواق حرة (الكرنك) ،ولدٌها شركة للصناعات المكملة ،ولدٌها مركز لتدرٌب جمٌع العاملٌن بها وموظفً شركات الطٌران األخرى ،وعدد موظفٌهم محسوب من ضمن العدد الكلى للشركة. وقالت الحملة إن مرتبات شركة مصر للطٌران بالمقارنة بمثٌالتها من شركات الطٌران ضمن تحالؾ ستار هى أقل مرتبات موجودة بالتحالؾ ،مشٌرة إلى أن مصر للطٌران أوقفت التعٌٌنات بالشركة منذ سنوات وتقوم بٌن الحٌن واآلخر بإعالنات داخلٌة ،وذلك لتحقٌق عدالة فى توزٌع العاملٌن داخل الشركة وعمل توازن بٌن جمٌع اإلدارات والقطاعات ،كما أن الشركة تعاقدت مؤخرا على شراء واستئجار طائرات جدٌدة لدعم األسطول ولتقلٌل الفجوة بٌن عدد األسطول وعدد العاملٌن بها. ورأت أنه بعد سرد تلك الحقائق بالكامل ،فإن هذا العدد الذى ٌقوم بخدمة الشركة لٌس بالعدد الكبٌر جدا والمهول كما ٌراه البعض ،مطالبٌن بضرورة االستفادة من العنصر البشرى وخبراته بوصفه المحرك األساسى ألى شركة وسببا فى تقدم أو تأخر أى شركة ،معربٌن عن ثقتهم بأن شركة مصر للطٌران تسٌر على المسار الصحٌح فى الوقت الحالى ،ولكن الظروؾ االقتصادٌة المحٌطة حالٌا هى السبب الرئٌسى فى تلك الفجوات.

تأخٌر بالجملة فً رحالت مصر للطٌران شهد مبنى رقم 2بمطار القاهرة ،الٌوم ،السبت ،تأخر إقالع 9رحالت طٌران دولٌة مابٌن 35 دقٌقة إلى ثالث ساعات بسبب تعطل سٌر نقل الحقائب من صالة السفر إلى منطقة فرز الحقائب قبل شحنها إلى الطائرات واضطرت شركات الطٌران لنقل الحقائب ٌدوٌا. وقالت مصادر أنه فى ذروة عمل صالة السفر بالمبنى رقم 2بمطار القاهرة والذى تم تشؽٌله قبل عدة شهور بعد تطوٌره بـ 3,4ملٌار جنٌه تعطل سٌر نقل الحقائب الرئٌسى من صالة السفر إلى منطقة فرز الحقائب تمهٌدا لشحنها إلى الطائرات وإضطرات شركات الطٌران لنقل الحقائب ٌدوٌا وإستدعاء عدد من العمال للمساعدة. وتسبب ذلك فى تأخر إقالع 9رحالت طٌران مابٌن 35دقٌقة و 3ساعات وهى رحالت شركات طٌران الخطوط السعودٌة رقم 300إلى جدة تأخرت ساعتٌن و 316إلى المدٌنة المنورة ساعتٌن و 3061إلى جدة 35دقٌقة وطائرة الجزٌرة رقم 535إلى الكوٌت 78دقٌقة و القطرٌة رقم 1304والمتجهة إلى الدوحة تأخرت 75دقٌقة واإلتحاد رقم 654والمتجهة إلى أبوظبى تأخرت ساعتٌن والخلٌج رقم 070إلى البحرٌن تأخرت 3ساعات والكوٌتٌة رقم 542 والمتجهة إلى الكوٌت 40دقٌقة واألردنٌة رقم 504إلى عمان تأخرت 35دقٌقة وعادت حركة سفر الطائرات من المبنى لطبٌعتها بعد نجاح عدد من الفنٌٌن فى إصالح العطل.

إؼالق أقصر خط طٌران فً العالم ذكرت مصادر رسمٌة أنه تم إلؽاء خط طٌران دولً ٌصل بٌن ألمانٌا وسوٌسرا وكان ٌعد أقصر خط رحلة جوٌة دولٌة فً العالم ،إذ ال تستؽرق الرحلة فٌه أكثر من 8دقائق. الرحلة كانت تحمل المسافرٌن بٌن مدٌنة ألتنرهاٌم فً سوٌسرا إلى فرٌدرشافن فً جنوب ألمانٌا وقد افتتحت فً شهر تشرٌن الثانً/نوفمبر فقط. ٌقول المدٌر التنفٌذي لمطار فرٌدرشافن إن شركة الطٌران المس ٌِّرة للخط قد تخلت عنه نظراً إلى قلة الطلب. وكان خط الطٌران هذا قد تعرض النتقادات واسعة من ناشطً حماٌة البٌئة لعدم جدواه حقٌقة ولتلوٌثه البٌئة مثله مثل الخطوط الطوٌلة.

Beginning next week, Qatar Airways would give out the #Electronic Devices at the gate while the travelers‟ gadgets would be collected and stowed with their checked-in luggage, Fortune reported. On Tuesday, Etihad Airways sent an email to its frequent flyer club members that it would offer tablets with unlimited Wi-Fi to business or first class passengers. Emirates is considering making a similar offer to its business class customers, Tim Clark, president of Emirates, said on Monday. The U.S.-imposed ban covers laptops and other electronic devices bigger than a mobile phone. These devices, which could be used by terrorist groups to smuggle explosive devices into airplane cabins, would no longer be allowed to be carried as hand luggage by airlines that would depart from the 10 Gulf airports. U.K. ban covers 6 countries from the Middle East and North Africa On March 22, U.K. also imposed a similar prohibition on laptops in cabins. Airport screening practices The U.S. placed the ban after intelligence officials received new information on the effectiveness of some airport screening practices. There are new methods of hiding explosives in electronic gadgets that have the potential to bypass airport security protocol, according to FBI tests. They also received reliable reports that potential terrorists could have gained access to complex security equipment to test their augmented weapons. The FBI conducted tests on some models of screening machines commonly used in international gateways by the Transportation Security Administration. The 10 airports are located in eight countries where reputable intelligence reports indicate greater threats. The eight countries on the U.S. list are Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Turkey, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Airline passenger safety must be a priority The bans on laptops on certain flights imposed by the UK and the US are inconvenient, but this may be necessary when the terror threat is real The chilling terror attack in London last week has reminded us all of the need for sensible security measures to guard against future atrocities. While the best response to terrorism is to ensure that life goes on as normal, it is sometimes necessary to tolerate inconvenience in order to protect our safety. Air travellers have long been used to lining up for security checks and searches. Now the US and the UK have imposed sweeping bans on laptops and tablets in aircraft cabins for flights involving certain countries or airlines. The US ban applies to Middle Eastern, north African and Turkish airlines flying from 10 airports in eight countries. The British restriction covers all direct flights to the country from Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia. Other countries may follow their example.

2 Electronic devices on US-bound flights from some Muslim countries banned by US and UK For many passengers, laptops are considered essential items, either for working during the flight or for entertainment. No wonder affected airlines are scrambling for alternatives and ways of ensuring passengers lose their computers for as little time as possible. Whether or not the restrictions are justified depends on the content and reliability of the intelligence which prompted them. Both the UK and the US have pointed to information which suggests terrorists might use laptops to smuggle explosives. Technological experts have questioned the bans, asking why a laptop or tablet in the cabin is considered a threat and not one which is stored in the hold. The confining of the ban to certain countries and airlines also raises the possibility that it will be possible for laptops to be used for terrorist acts on carriers which are not affected. The authorities should, so far as is possible without compromising security, reveal more information so that the rationale behind the ban and the nature of intelligence concerned can be better understood. Security measures should only be imposed to the extent necessary to ensure public safety. This is especially important when only certain countries or airlines are affected. Such measures should not be imposed lightly or be used as an excuse for arbitrary discrimination. What‟s a blanket on a cold airplane worth? Not $12, at least not for one passenger on a recent Hawaiian Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Hawaii. A 66-year-old man was charged $12 for the blanket, but not with anything else, despite causing the flight to be diverted to Los Angeles. According to news reports, the passenger was deemed “unruly” by airport police after saying he “would like to take someone behind the woodshed for this” and was removed from the flight. “Diverting a fight is clearly not our first choice, but our crew felt it was necessary to divert to Los Angeles and deplane the passenger before beginning to fly over the Pacific Ocean,” the airline said in a statement. George Hobica, the founder of Airfarewatchdog.com, said: “I think Hawaiian should have just given him the blanket for free. Doing that emergency landing cost Hawaiian thousands of dollars. This fee seems more silly than exorbitant.” As most passengers can‟t help but notice, add-on fees are becoming more and more prevalent. Hobica said the fee that makes most passengers angry is the one for changing flights, which costs an average of $200 on domestic flights. But that does not mean the smaller fees aren‟t aggravating. A recent study by the farecasting app Hopper showed that airlines are increasingly “unbundling” their flights, offering lower base prices for travelers to get on the plane and making them pay à la carte for almost everything else, from seat assignments to baggage and in-flight supplements like food, entertainment and, apparently, blankets. These secondary fees now represent roughly 10 percent of total airline revenues, according to Hopper. The problem is that the fees vary greatly from airline to airline and class to class, which means comparing base ticket prices has become almost meaningless.

“From the consumer‟s perspective, this results in increased confusion and makes it frustratingly difficult to comparison shop or to understand the full cost of travel,” said Patrick Surry, Hopper‟s chief data scientist. For example, Spirit offers the lowest base ticket prices of the eight airlines studied by Hopper, with a median fare of $356, but charges the most for baggage ($50 for the first bag, $111 for the second) and for changing flights ($250). Throw in a $35 carry-on fee and, if you‟re a traveler with two checked bags who has changed your flight, you could be paying more than twice the cost of your base fare. Hopper‟s recently released Fair Bear feature aims to help by breaking down the restrictions or fees associated with your flight, Surry said. But there‟s more you can do to keep your flight costs closer to what you thought you were paying in the first place. Here‟s what you need to know about the most common and costly fees. Change Fees The change fee is not only the most costly but also the most difficult to avoid. And don‟t even think about canceling. The Hopper study (which excludes data from Southwest and Delta) found that a nonrefundable, domestic reservation in the main cabin is usually changeable, for a price. For example, United charges an average of $200 to change a domestic flight, while Virgin America‟s fee is $125, which is the lowest of the airlines studied. The fee varies among the budget airlines as well, with Frontier charging $198 and Spirit $250. “The higher the change fee on a nonrefundable airfare, the greater the incentive for some travelers to simply buy a more expensive refundable airfare,” Hobica said. If you‟re prone to changing plans, try to book with Southwest, which is the only major domestic airline that does not charge for canceling or changing your flight. Baggage Fees Standard baggage fees for domestic flights have remained steady for several years now at $25 (Spirit and Frontier charge more), but airlines pick up the slack with their charges for overweight bags, which have crept up over the years, Hobica said. Once again, Southwest is the no-fee winner, not charging for checked bags )with some size and weight restrictions(. You won‟t see much budging on this from other airlines (except on international flights). “Another recent trend is more carriers are starting to charge for carryon luggage,” Surry said. Spirit and Frontier already charge for a carryon. “The Big Three domestic airlines are following a similar model with their basic fares, where carry-on luggage may not be permitted unless you‟re willing to pay extra,” Hobica said, referring to United, Delta and American. United, for example, allows only one personal item in its recently created Basic Economy tier, meaning you will have to pay just for using the overhead bin. In general, learning to pack well is your best chance to reduce baggage fees; weighing your luggage before leaving home will help make sure there are not any surprises at check-in. In-Flight Fees And now we come full circle to the $12 blanket. “The most important step in reducing your total cost is to plan carefully for what additional services you‟ll use when you travel and pay attention to what those add-ons will cost if they‟re not included in the base price,” Surry said.

American and Delta made most of their in-flight entertainment options free last year, but many others, including Southwest and Hawaiian, still charge for movies and television.
