Celebrate this season of gratitude with the Circle City Ringers. The Circle City Ringers are an auditioned bronze-level community handbell ensemble. The musicians will be playing seasonal music on their traditional English handbells and hand chimes. It’s the perfect music to ring in the season.

Dementia Friends Community Info Session

Dementia Friends Indiana info sessions are a brief but impactful way of learning about dementia, understanding and appreciating the perspective of someone living with dementia, and having the knowledge you need to better communicate and interact with those living with the disease and their family caregivers. Upon completion of the DFI info session attendees will be registered as a Dementia Friend in Indiana. Ages 18+ only, please.

Are you looking for a last minute holiday gift? Bath bombs are easy and fun to make! You can make a few during this program, then take the instructions home to make even more. They are wonderful gifts for friends, loved ones, or perfect for your self-care days! The bath bombs can be messy, so wearing some comfy clothes and shoes is best.

Puzzle Showdown (For Grades 6+) This is the event to chase away the winter boredom! Teams of four will race to complete a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle in just 90 minutes. Prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place teams! Registration is required and space is limited. Individuals are welcome to register and will be assigned to a team on the day of the competition. Open to adults and teens grades 6 and up.

Winter Gardening

Winter gardening is a great way to grow hundreds of perennials for almost no cost. All you need are milk or water gallon cartons, potting soil, and seeds. You can also start cool season vegetables this way. Begin saving your milk cartons now as you’ll be able to plant outside as early as January! Join this virtual workshop to learn how!

Enjoy this free online beginning Tai Chi class from home led by Christine Bhe. This 45-minute exercise is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Engage your mind and energize while stretching and moving your entire body. Participants may stand or sit in a chair; no floor work or equipment is needed.

Inspire is a collection of resources funded and compiled through the State of Indiana and offered to you on the HEPL website. Here are three great resources for adults you can use through Inspire: Masterfile Complete provides access to full-text articles in periodicals for general reference on a wide variety of topics. It also includes full-text articles from reference books, primary source documents and an image collection. Learning Express Library offers a test prep center and an adult core skills center, which include practice sessions for high school equivalency, better speaking and writing, and the U.S. Citizenship exam. The Vocational & Career Collection provides full-text coverage for trade and industry related periodicals.
