Giving YOU CREATED A SAFE AND COMFORTABLE HOME You gave medical care, winter coats, new shoes and even cash for a night at the movies to individuals who did not earn enough to provide for themselves. You replaced appliances, furnishings and flooring to help create a comfortable home for those who could not afford it on their own. You made sure that Hammer is home through the end of life; providing added features like grab bars, elevators, ramps and roll-in showers for those who are aging.

24/7 Nursing In 2016, instead of rehiring two new nurses we created a full-time nursing coordinator position. Going forward, the nurses are able to spend more time in the homes with the people we support. A standard medication packaging system was implemented across Hammer’s homes and apartments in 2016. Partnered with the training department to redesign the Intro to Health Med 101 Class, utilizing iPads for the training.
Training Results The goal of the training department is to increase efficiency and streamline the processes to make training closer to the job. In August 2016 our Innovative Training Model in Orientation went paperless, saving 21,000
