Sarah’s is a story of love When one first meets Sarah, she is likely to tell you about her husband. She and James, the love of her life, married on Valentine’s Day, 2008. They met at a dance and knew right away they wanted to be together. On their wedding day, James said, “That’s my queen, my bride.” The couple enjoyed several sweet years together before James passed away from complications from Alzheimer’s in February 2015.
Living life to the fullest James remains a very real presence in Sarah’s life. For her, he is everywhere and always near. Despite the sorrow that lingers behind her eyes, Sarah is determined to live a full, meaningful life that includes family, friends, church, and work. Being healthy is important to Sarah. She loves going to the YMCA to lift weights, do Tai Chi, and swim.
A valued employee Sarah works at Trader Joe’s where she keeps the shelves and displays orderly, bags groceries, and helps customers find what they need. She recently received a “raving” performance review from her manager. They see the true value in having her on their team. She is dependable and hard working. Customers are delighted to see her at work.
Being involved Sarah attends church regularly where she sings in the choir and participates in the Christmas pageant. She enjoys spending time with friends and family. Sarah is an extremely thoughtful person who routinely sends cards to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries. Maintaining her social connections is important to Sarah.
