Visiting us Mobility: For those with mobility issues we offer a ground floor reception, dental surger y and WC facilities, as well as wheelchair access. Please advise our receptionist when booking. Car Parking: We have negotiated an agreement with the Spice Village Indian Restaurant. Our clients can use the restaurant car park for the duration of their appointment. Simply display your appointment card in the window of your car. Should you wish to stay in Emsworth for longer, there is a free car park in Bridge Street (600yds/500m) or pay and display car parks in South Street (200yds/185 m) and North Street (330yds/300m). Train: Emsworth Train Station is ser ved by Southern Trains. The station is 750yds/700m from the practice. Bus: Bus number 700 stops in the centre of Emsworth just 75yds/70m from the practice. Bicycles: Facilities to secure bicycles are available in St Peter’s Square just 75yds/70m away.
Appointments As prevention is better (and more cost effective) than cure, we recommend regular visits to the dentist and hygienist. We generally recommend two dental consultations and two hygienist appointments per annum. However, this may var y depending on your specific needs. For easier diar y management, we book your next appointment before you leave the practice and issue you with an appointment card. This not only acts as a reminder but also as a voucher for parking in the Spice Village car park next time you visit us. You are of course able to change your appointment time up to one full working day in advance although we would appreciate as much notice as possible. Missed or cancelled appointments Wherever possible, we usually contact you by phone, text or email to remind you in advance of your appointment. If you do need to cancel your appointment, we would appreciate a minimum of one full working days notice. This will enable us to offer the appointment to another patient. A fee will be charged if an appointment is missed or cancelled with less notification. Late arrivals We appreciate life doesn’t always run to plan. We will always tr y to accommodate such instances however if you do arrive late for your appointment, we may not be able to see you. In such cases, we will need to reschedule your visit and levy a charge.
Emergencies If you have a dental emergency please get in touch as early as possible so we can tr y to arrange a same day appointment. For emergency dental treatment during weekends or bank holidays please phone the practice number where a recorded message will give details of our out-of-hours emergency dental ser vice 01243 375588.
Medical conditions Your safety and well being are at the core of ever ything we do. To enable us to assure our care, we need you to provide us with information on any of your past and present medical conditions, medications and treatments as these may affect your dental treatment. This information needs to be updated on a regular basis. You can rest assured that all the information you provide is treated in the strictest confidence and protected under the Data Protect Act 1998.
