Dear Members, I hope everyone is well and enjoying the start of the summer season here at Hampton Hall! We welcome all new members that now call Hampton Hall Club their new home and community.
As I look throughout this newsletter, it is such a pleasure to see so many wonderful opportunities for engagement and socialization following a year of distance between members, friends, and families. We are opening more services weekly and are working with member advisory groups to accommodate our evergrowing membership needs.
I encourage you to read each departmental section for innovative and exciting new events as well as some traditional favorites. Even if you do not participate in an event or activity, you just may be interested in the fun they provide! It is important to remember that your support of these events also keeps our current staff active and engaged. All HHC staff members appreciate the interaction with members as we work together following the Covid isolation, and they do feel part of the HHC family.
Recently, a member asked me what my biggest concern is coming out of the Covid pandemic. The answer is similar to what everyone has read about or heard on the news. A shortage in staffing and the supply chain – two of the top components which HHC needs each day to operate.
The Board is aware of the staffing challenges we face and how it impacts each department within the Club. We are taking this challenge very seriously by creating incentives, sending personal invitations, posting positions in-state and out-of-state, using various social media advertising, and more. We have a great working environment here at the club, with tremendous programs and benefits for employees who would like to join the Hampton Hall Team. However, like other hospitality businesses, we are seeing very few people apply for positions. We will continue to search for qualified candidates to ensure HHC provides the member experience desired by all!
The supply chain is the second component that is vital to our livelihood. Due to the pandemic and staffing limitations, items we have used for years are not being produced, are not available or warehouses have closed.
I mention these two factors of doing business so that the membership is aware that the HHC staff on the front lines and back of the house in every department has worked tirelessly so the membership does not feel the impact. When you see the management team or the staff, thank them all for their work and dedication. They are all working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure the best experience possible is provided for our membership.
As always, please provide my office with any positive feedback on the areas you feel we are excelling in and the areas you may feel need additional attention. Giving direct feedback often helps move things along if it something we can put in motion.
Thank you for your patience. We remain Hampton Hall Strong Together!
Warmest Regards,
