Brief BACKGROUND

The NASA voyager Golden Records are phonograph records, which were included abroad both Voyager spacecraft, which were launched in 1977. They contain sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth and intended for any intelligent extraterrestrial life form, or for future humans, who may find them.

CARL SAGAN

Carl Sagan noted that: “The spacecraft will be encountered and the record played only if there are advanced space-faring civilisations in inter-seller space. But the launching of this ‘bottle’ into the cosmic ‘ocean’ says something very hopeful about life on this planet”. Therefore, the record is best seen as a time capsule or a symbolic statement rather than a serious attempt to communicate with extraterrestrial life.

OUTCOME - Submit creative proposals through to finished design work/ animation for a new version of the ‘Golden record’ entitled, ‘Earth Artifact’. - Document all stages of the research and design process, which should demonstrate a critical understanding of the design challenge. - Generate several creative solutions, taking one justified idea forward to a final solution.

Golden Record WHAT IS IT?

It is a Voyager which was set out into space which both carried small metal plaques identifying their time and place of origin for the benefit of any other spacefarers that might find them in the future. Furthermore, NASA placed a more ambitious message aboard the Voyager. It was intended to communicate a story of our world to extraterrestrials. The message was carried by a phonograph record-a 12-inch gold-plated copper disk containing sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth.

WHAT MESSAGES? The contents of the record (messages in the voyager) were selected for NASA by a committee chaired by Carl Sagan. Dr.Sagan and his associates assembled 115 images and a variety of natural sounds, such as those made by surf, wind and thunder and also animals: such as birds and whales etc. They also added musical selections from different cultures and eras, and spoken greetings in fifty-five languages. Each record is encased in a protective aluminium jacket, together with a cartridge and a needle. Instructions, in symbolic language, explain the origin of the spacecraft and indicate how the record is to be played. The 115 images are encoded in analogue form. The remainder of the record is in audio. Following the section on the sounds of Earth, there is an eclectic 90-minute selection of music, including both Eastern and Western classics and a variety of ethnic music.

WHY?

Once the Voyager spacecraft leaves the solar system, it will find itself in empty space. It will be forty thousand years before it makes a close approach to any other planetary system. As Carl Sagan has noted, “The spacecraft will be encountered and the record played only if there are advanced spacefaring civilizations in interstellar space. But the launching of this bottle into the cosmic ocean says something very hopeful about life on this planet. BUSHRA SHANAN

A

piece

of art highlighting

the struggles of Palestinians in Gaza (Bushra Shanan)

It’s hard to encapsulate the sorrowing situation in Gaza. Over 750 Palestinians — the overwhelming majority are civilians — have been killed in Gaza. Over a quarter are believed to be children. Facing the most difficult of circumstances, we are seeing the resilience of Palestinian youth through the simplest, yet most powerful of mediums: creative arts intervention. A Palestinian blogger from Gaza, Refaat Alareer has been collecting digital altercations of photos of Israeli air-strikes exploding over their communities. Within the clouds of smoke and debris, are various pictures. Some contain nationalist Palestinian symbols, others simple drawings of faces. These faces range from having expressions to those that are crying over the destruction below them. This is a trending art-form called “smoke art photography.” One of these young Palestinian artists, Bushra Shanan, a graphic designer from Hebron in the occupied West Bank, captioned one of her photos (seen above): “This is how they see it, this is how we see it.” These works of art are a way for these Palestinians to tell their own stories, an opportunity to show what western media won’t allow them to. These artists are challenging the portrayal of Palestinians in mainstream media and taking it upon themselves to change it. Golden Record/ Earth Artifact/ TFD1411

These images remind us of how we looked up at the clouds as children to see shapes of animals, people, faces — anything one’s imagination could conjure. It’s also a grim reminder that under this destructive black cloud there are people who are affected by this persistent violence. It’s almost as if these faces are looking at Gaza, surveying the damage and mourning over what had happened. This is how the people of Gaza want to be represented and remembered. Not as mere numbers. Not as mangled corpses lying in concrete rubble. But as children that see shapes and figures and pictures even in the most horrific and brutal of circumstances. They are reminding the rest of the world that they too are people who value life and want to live as the rest of the world does: quietly. These altered photos are one of the most vital examples we have of how Palestinians in Gaza are coping with the consistent presence of death surrounding them. http://www.wattan.tv/ar/news/99159.html WW

Ferdi Rizkiyanto Art Director, Digital Artist Freelance Jakarta, Indonesia Ferdi Rizkiyanto, here is trying to expose the problem of global warming. He is trying to give out a message that our modernisation and the way modern society is today; specifically pollution is harming the earth. This is shown how the fumes from the factories from the bottom half of the time glass is melting away the icebergs on top. The time glass is a visual metaphor which is representing time and that time is running out. The fact that time is running out is also shown by how quarter of the bottom half of the time glass is filled with water. This also represents that a flood will be a result of global warming and this is a personal view of Ferdi.

Edvard Munch Expressionism

Throughout his artistic career, Munch focused on scenes of death, agony, and anxiety in distorted and emotionally charged portraits, all themes and styles that would be adopted by the Expressionists. Here, in Munch’s most famous painting, he depicts the battle between the individual and society. The setting of The Scream was suggested to the artist while walking along a bridge overlooking Oslo; as Munch recalls, “the sky turned as red as blood. I stopped and leaned against the fence...shivering with fear. Then I heard the enormous, infinite scream of nature.” Although Munch did not observe the scene as rendered in his painting, The Scream evokes the jolting emotion of the encounter and exhibits a general anxiety toward the tangible world. The representation of the artist’s emotional response to a scene would form the basis of the Expressionists’ artistic interpretations. The theme of individual alienation, as represented in this image would persist throughout the twentieth century, captivating Expressionist artists as a central feature of modern life.

Minimal Art is a school of abstract painting and sculpture where any kind of personal expression is kept to a minimum, in order to give the work a completely literal presence. The resulting work is characterized by extreme simplicity of form and a deliberate lack of expressive content.

What? It is information which is represented as graphic visual representations. It is intended to present complex information quickly and clearly.

I think that this style is not what I would like to go for as I want my poster something more simple, but yet still effective in relation to its message and meaning.

What?

Types of logo designs:

A logo is a clear- cut glyph/ identifying mark that conveys origin, identity or/ and ownership. The main function is to promote recognition

- Iconic Logos They use imagery that conveys a literal or abstract representation of an organisation.

Some aspects of a logo:

-Woodmark Logos It incorporates a company or brand name in a uniquely styled font treatment.

- Memorable - Instantaneously recognisable - Clarity when reproduced in small sizes - Can be illustrative in nature, either concrete or abstract.

Colour Colour Wheel For my final piece, I would like to leave a strong message that stays with the reader and not just forget it the ‘next day’. If a picture is worth a thousand words, a picture with natural colours may be worth a million, memory-wise. Psychologists have documented that “living colour” does more than appeal to the senses. It also boosts memory for scenes in the natural world.

Colour Colour Psychology There are four psychological primary colours - red, blue, yellow and green. They relate respectively to the body, the mind, the emotions and the essential balance between these three. 92% Believe colour presents an image of impressive quality 90% Feel colour can assist in attracting new customers 90% Believe customers remember presentations and documents better when colour is used 83% Believe colour makes them appear more successful 81% Think colour gives them a competitive edge 76% Believe that the use of colour makes their business appear larger to clients Conducted by Xerox Corporation and International Communications Research from February 19, 2003 to March 7, 2003, margin of error of +/3.1%.

RED

#Physical #courage #strength #warmth #energy #basic survival #‘fight or flight’ #stimulation #masculinity #excitement #Defiance #aggression #visual #impact #strain. Being the longest wavelength, red is a powerful colour. Although not technically the most visible, it has the property of appearing to be nearer than it is and therefore it grabs our attention first.

Orange

#Physical #comfort #food #warmth #security #sensuality #passion #abundance #fun #Deprivation #frustration #frivolity #immaturity Since it is a combination of red and yellow, orange is stimulating and reaction to it is a combination of the physical and the emotional. It focuses our minds on issues of physical comfort - food, warmth, shelter etc. - and sensuality. It is a ‘fun’ colour.

Yellow

#Emotional #Optimism #confidence #self-esteem #extraversion #emotional #strength #friendliness #creativity #Irrationality #fear #emotional #fragility #depression #anxiety #suicide The yellow wavelength is relatively long and essentially stimulating. In this case the stimulus is emotional, therefore yellow is the strongest colour, psychologically. The right yellow will lift our spirits and our self-esteem.

Green

#Balance #Harmony #balance #refreshment #universal #love #rest #restoration #reassurance #environmental #awareness #equilibrium #peace #Boredom #stagnation #blandness #enervation Green strikes the eye in such a way as to require no adjustment whatever and is, therefore, restful. Being in the centre of the spectrum, it is the colour of balance.

Blue

#Intellectual #Intelligence #communication #trust #efficiency #serenity #duty #logic #coolness #reflection #calm #Coldness #aloofness #lack of emotion #unfriendliness Blue is the colour of the mind and is essentially soothing; it affects us mentally, rather than the physical reaction we have to red. Strong blues will stimulate clear thought and lighter, soft blues will calm the mind and aid concentration.

Black

#Sophistication #glamour #security #emotional safety #efficiency #substance #Oppression #coldness #menace #heaviness.

Grey

#Psychological neutrality #Lack of confidence #dampness #depression #hibernation #lack of energy. Pure grey is the only colour that has no direct psychological properties. It is, however, quite suppressive. Golden Record/ Earth Artifact/ TFD1411

Colour Mood Conditioning

Functional colour was a new practice that came into focus around the time of word war 2. Advocates of functional colour saw colour as having the potential to improve safety and comfort in hospitals, factories, offices and schools. They colourised interiors to achieve relief from eyestrain and fatigue, lower accident rates and greater productivity. The judicious use of colour could produce a visually pleasing interior, but mood conditioning was the ultimate goal. Multiple interests were addressed by the concept of functional colour, including surgeons, architects, advertisers, paint manufacturers, factory managers and school administrators. Sans is a typeface that does not have the small Serifs are the small lines tailing from the projecting features called “serifs” at the end of edges of letters and symbols, separated strokes. into distinct units for a typewriter or typesetter.

A A

Sans fonts are better on the web. Modern and Minimal.

Seri fonts are easier to read in printed format.

Serifs make individual letters more distinctive and easier for our brains to recognise quickly. Without the serif, the brain has to spend longer identifying the letter, because the shape is less distinctive.

Sans is better at small sizes, because the fonts survive reproduction and smearing because of their simple forms. Sans are typically used for EMPHASIS.

When sans is blown up, the characters retain the general shapes. http://www.webdesignerdepot.com/2013/03/ serif-vs-sans-the-final-battle/

Serifs are used to increase contrast and spacing between different letters and improve identification.

Serifs are used for body text, because it is more legible and less likely to cause fatigue.

Hamzah Laher

Typography The typographic quality of a document is determined largely by how the body text looks. This is because there is more body text than anything else. Appearance of text: - Point size is the size of the letters. In print, the most comfortable range for body text is 10–12 point. On the web, the range is 15–25 pixels. - Line spacing is the vertical distance between lines. It should be 120– 145% of the point size.

Golden Record/ Earth Artifact/ TFD1411

In word processors, use the “Exact” line-spacing option to achieve this. - Line length is the horizontal width of the text block. Line length should be an average of 45–90 characters per line (use word-count func tion) or 2–3 lowercase alphabets. In a printed document, this usually means page margins larger than the traditional one inch. On a web page, it usually means not allowing the text to flow to the edges of the browser window.

Good typography can help your reader devote less attention to the mechanics of reading and more attention to your message. Conversely, bad typography can distract your reader and undermine your message.

Good typography is measured by how well it reinforces the meaning of the text, not by some abstract scale of merit. Typographic choices that work for one text won’t necessarily work for another.

Global Warming Research

I have decided to go ahead with the idea to show extraterrestrials that we (humans) ARE harming the planet; pollution, enhanced global warming, climate change, sea levels rising. Its a big issue and people need to know about (educated about or even remind). Enhance global warming has its effects on us, created by us. We need to act now. What? Global Warming is the gradual heating of the Earth’s surface and atmosphere. Greenhouse Effect? Global warming begins with the greenhouse effect, which is caused by the interaction between Earth’s atmosphere and the incoming radiation from the sun. Therefore, it can be clarified that the greenhouse effect is natural, so what is all the fuss about act towards ‘Global Warming’. But, there is something called ‘Enhanced Greenhouse Effect’. Enhanced Greenhouse Effect? This is when humans cause global warming when human activity introduces too much of a certain type of gas into the atmosphere. More of this gas equals more warming.

Golden Record/ Earth Artifact/ TFD1411

Climate Change? Climate is the pattern of weather in a particular place: how much sunlight and rainfall it gets, how windy it is etc. Effects of Climate Change? As Earth warms up, the oceans warm up too, which results in water expanding. The water in oceans therefore takes up more volume, in result makes the level of the seas rise. The seas also rise when glaciers and ice sheets melt into the oceans. Sea level rising is one of the major impacts of global warming. Summary: With concentrations of greenhouse gasses rising. Earth’s remaining ice sheets are starting to melt. The extra water could potentially raise sea levels significantly. In addition to sea levels rising, weather can become more extreme. This means more intense major storms, more rain followed by longer and drier droughts. The main issue I like to get across and I think has the biggest impact which has its sub- problems is, that climate change is occurring and that sea levels are rising and it is a rising issue.

Experiments Idea 2

Here I have created a PNG image of a globe which I created on adobe illustrator.

I have added smoke in the globe, but in the shape of a circle (globe). I got a picture of a light-bulb, which I tried to fill up with water, to represent rising sea levels

Here I have added effects to the globe to create a more cartoonist style of design.

Golden Record/ Earth Artifact/ TFD1411

Next I added my globe to the light-bulb, whist also using the free transform tool on Photoshop to make the globe go around the shape of the light-bulb.

Here I have picture of fire, which creates a texture for fire. This would be useful as it could be used to represent the warming up of the Earth.

Next I have added smoke into the globe to create the effect that the globe is warming up and that the smoke is coming out of the circumference of the light-bulb representing that the ozone layer is breaking up already.

I have made the colour of the globe to grey using the brightness and contrast tool, to give the effect that the globe is getting polluted. I also used the fire texture to create the effect that the bottom of the light-bulb is warming up. Th light-bulb represents the fact that the globe is warming light a bulb and will eventually blow/ melt like that of a (light-bulb) filament.

To create this logo, the only tool that I used was the pen tool. I created different sections of the logo in different layers, to make it easier for me change parts of it is any corrections need to be made. Furthermore, to make the logo more bold, I simply increased the thickness of the stroke.

antartica 2014

Here I have added the globe from before that I created on Adobe illustrator and have placed it with the t-shirt I created. I decided to take off the black outline of the t-shirt as it would look more simple and minimalist. However, the t-shirt doesn’t quite fit in well with the text that says: ‘lost 7....Tonnes last year’ as this sentence connotes to losing weight and this relates to the globe ‘sweating’. Furthermore, the stroke of the ‘Gym Shark’ logo is too thin and needs to be more thicker to fit in with the overall design.

Hamzah Laher

Work Gym Vest and Globe Here I have developed from a t-shirt to a gym vest, because a gym est is more appropriate as to relate to the globe ‘losing weight’ which is shown through the visual metaphor of the globe melting. Also the gym shark logo has been added to further make the impression that the globe is committed and on its way to ‘losing weight’ (‘losing weight’= ice caps melting). The hashtag 71...Tonnes lost is a fact, which the figure has been collected from the previous year of 2014. This figure;71...Tonnes was how much ice caps in weight was melted lost in 2014 in Antarctica alone. This is a big issue, because as the ice caps melt, it increases the sea levels which in turn creates major problems for places which are close to the sea line.

Here, I have simply added the globe from before which I created in adobe Illustrator and placed it with the gym vest which no stroke and I have added a white fill, with a low opacity level. This gives the illusion that the globe IS really warming up as the low opacity gym vest gives the impression that the gym vest is filled with sweat. Furthermore, I have changed the colour of the typography to grey, to make it stand out from the gym vest fill white. Grey was used as it reminds people of/ or connotes to professionalism, strong message, important message etc.

Work Globe and Blackhole

The melting globe getting sucked into the black-hole shows that if global warming starts to stay the way it is, there isn’t going to be an Earth for any longer (everything is going to end one day- not going to last forever) and the black is a visual metaphor for this. I wanted to further enhance the message; therefore I shaped the green pieces of land on the globe to be shaped like a face and the blue water like a simplified shape of a bird. Also the whole image of the globe looks like a sperm cell, which is showing that with global warming the way its going, all living things with the earth are going to come to an end one day. So we need to act now, to stop enhanced global warming.

Here is a globe that created earlier on adobe illustrator. To create the effect above I used the pucker tool.

As you can see the earth is one move away from winning (excessive global warming), therefore we need to ‘DO’ our move and block the ‘Sun’ from winning. your move.

#tictactoe

To further enhance the poster, I have created a small timer, to make people think that there is a time limit and that we shouldn’t wait around; we should act now.

Here I have created a school text book theme, as to show that Global Warming is something that everyone should know as you would know about something that s basic. It shows Global Warming should be in the back of everybody’s heads and that everybody should know about it and react.

I tried to send out a message that due climate change caused by excessive global warming is going to result in a increase in seal levels. To really express the fact that sea levels are going to rise and it is going to be devastating, I decided to use the tallest building in the world as a visual metaphor to show this.

2050?

2050? 2050?

This is a simple, understandable drawing of Burj Khalifa (tallest building in the world). I have created this in Adobe Illustrator using the pen tool.

Next, alongside the building on the left that I created before, I added a visual representation of water/ sea level risen more than halfway up Burj Khalifa bearing in mind; it is the tallest building in the world. The light blue water, is created using the rectangle tool. The 2 waves are created using the pen tool, with a thick stroke.

Tallest hotel in the world

Here I have added some typography which clears out the fact that climate change is a big issue and that something that was recognised as the ‘tallest building in the world’ can now be sitting underwater.

Here I have created a basic representation of sea. This has been created using the rectangle tool.

next added a second rectangle to represent the top of the sea. The darker shade of blue represents the depth of the ocean.

Next, I tried to create the effect that we are at the lower depths of the ocean.

Further enhancement; creating the illusion that we are at the lower depths of the ocean.

I have added a few enhancements. For example, the black lines to show that it really deep water the we are in and also the bubbles.

Annotations: - The dark/ purple doesn’t really look dark blue; it looks purple. - The logo in the bottom left corner is really faint and not very clear. - The ‘#act now’ text looks out of place. - Also I have noticed that some building are missing from the city landscape.

Work Globe and Water Dispenser

Here, I have added the globe from which I have created before and have placed on top of the water dispenser replacing the water. This image overall is a visual metaphor showing that we are using the Earth ‘up’. However, this is the message that I want to portray, but the image is not strong in this matter.

Hamzah Laher

Work Globe and Water Dispenser

I wanted to create small bits of ice caps/ or small ice caps dropping down from the hot water tap, to show that we using the ice caps by warming up the Earth. Furthermore, I would like the ice caps to fall on to the ground. This would represent that once the ice caps have been used up. i.e. Ice caps melting- ice caps will run out and this will lead to less sunlight reflected back out from the sun. This would result in the Earth warming up further, increase in climate change and then sea levels rising etc.

Here is an ice cap created in Cinema 4D.

Hamzah Laher

Work Globe and Water Dispenser

From what I created in Cinema 4D, I simplified the polygons and then from sketches I came up with a simple ice cape. I created the ice cap in Adobe Illustrator.

I created this mainly using the pen too and rectangle tool which I enhanced using the direct selection tool.

Here, I have copied and pasted the ice cap, which can be done easily by holding down the ALT key and then clicking and dragging the shape onto another part of the art-board.

Golden Record/ Earth Artifact/ TFD1411

Next, I decided to simply my ice cap further, bu removing the dark shades of blue; leaving a simple shape of an ice cap.

Furthermore, I made fragments of the ice cap shape, to simplify further. It is still representing an ice cap but simplified.

Hamzah Laher

2. Next, I added a stroke and increased the thickness of the stroke, also gave it rounded corners.

1. Next, I added numerous ice caps, to make it look like ice caps falling down on to the ground creating a puddle.

Here, I have replaced the normal globe with the melted globe that I created earlier in Adobe Illustrator. The melting globe, shows/ expresses the fact that the globe is warming up rapidly. Furthermore, to further express that ‘WE’ are warming up the Earth excessively is shown through the fact that ice caps are coming out of the hot water tap.

Work Cinema 4D As I enjoyed and ‘got a bit into it’ when creating the ‘ice berg’ or one of my poster concept; I decided to create a poster mainly using Cinema 4D and then adding typography using Adobe Illustrator.

This is the first render. As you can see I am quite up close to the Earth. Here is the set up of my design creation on cinema 4d. As you can I have a number of layers. Also to create the dark room effect I have used a light with a arm orange colour with a 51% intensity. I also have created a back ‘wall’ (backscreen)as if in a photoshoot to ensure the best results.

Golden Record/ Earth Artifact/ TFD1411

This is the second render. Here I am quite fa away from the Earth.

Hamzah Laher

Work Cinema 4D

“Don’t darken our world” I have made render, quite a dark finish. This is because I wanted it to connote to pollution; As pollution reminds people of darkness, seriousness etc. Therefore, I wanted to go for dark setting, which I created with a low intensity light with a orange colour lighting. Furthermore, I added the text: ‘Don’t Darken Our World’, because it is like a rhetorical question and it makes people think that to not darken our world we need to cut down on pollution, co2 emissions etc. And this is what makes this a strong poster even though it is simple. It is simple, but has quite an effective message and deep meaning. Golden Record/ Earth Artifact/ TFD1411

“Don’t darken our world” This has the same concept as the previous poster, but this is the one with the Globe which nearly all visible (in relation to scale)./ This means that the typography could be enlarged.

Work Typography and Global Warming

As I am also interested in typographic posters, I decided to have a go. Firstly, I did some rough sketches and then drew them up on illustrator, to create ‘like’ a layout/ banner for my typography to be placed.

I have created this on Adobe Illustrator. The green represents land and the blue represents water. Golden Record/ Earth Artifact/ TFD1411

Next, I placed a melting globe, in the middle. Also as you can see there are two rectangles that have also been coloured a brown colour, to give the effect that this ‘towel’ has been wrapped around the globe and the 2 rectangles filled with a brown colour gives this towel a 3D illusion. This towel illusion shows that the earth is being ‘wringed’ out: meaning that we draining the earth from ice caps which will reduce the amount of sunlight deflected out back from earth; which will result in further climate change and sea levels rising. Golden Record/ Earth Artifact/ TFD1411

Warm ing Furthermore, I have enhanced the illusion that the ice caps/ water is being rinsed out; I have added the ice caps from the previous poster concept to represent this (water/ ice caps being rinsed out of the Earth).

Work Paperclip

I wanted to create little pegs which could be attached to the posters. So firstly, I did a few sketched then drew it up in Adobe Illustrator.

To create the shapes of my paperclip, I mainly used the pen tool, as for me is the easiest tool to work with when drawing Adobe Illustrator. Here, as you can see I have created one part of the paper clip, and here you can see the anchor points and how much bend/ curve I have created. The anchor points on a shape can be enhanced/ changed by using the direction selection tool. The shortcut key to change to the direction selection tool is ‘A’.

Here is just a few sketches of what I think the paper clip will look like on my poster. However, using these sketches I have better understanding and visualisation of how I am going to draw the paper clip on Adobe Illustrator.

Here, I have added the blue from the globe that I created for the poster background. Also I have added the typography: ‘Global Warming’ in Helvetica old, to really express and show that global warming is a big issue and should not be missed.

Work Posters

I have printed out the poster, to really check for any mistakes which I may have missed out whilst working on screen. From t his print out, I can see why the light blue colour background doesn’t work well with the overall poster. This is because, the colour is too calm and ‘Global Warming’ is a big issue and is it not should be associated with calmness. Global Warming should be and/ or is associated with seriousness. Furthermore, I can see that some of the paper clips are out of line (either not touching the string or/ and the posters). Also I have noticed that some of the text on the posters do not need to be there. For example, ‘ global warming’, this is be cause Global Warming is already on the poster enlarged and in bold. Furthermore, The stroke of ‘Global Warming’ is too much and you can see some of the letters are hard to make out. For example: ‘i’ and ‘a’. Golden Record/ Earth Artifact/ TFD1411

Hamzah Laher

Work Posters

Here, I have made some amendments to the poster. First of all, I have darkened the background colour; not too much either. This creates a serious atmosphere and also makes the posters and ‘Global Warming’ stand out; makes it eye catching and grabs the attention of the reader. Also, I have decreased the stroke thickness on ‘ Global Warming’ which makes it more clear and easy to understand. Furthermore, I have changed the text colour of ‘#act now’ to red as according to colour psychology; Red is associated with #basic survival #‘fight or flight’ stimulation #masculinity #visual #impact- it has the property of appearing to be nearer than it is and therefore it grabs our attention first. (From ‘Colour Psychology’ research). I have also noticed that the posters are still out line and will need amending. Golden Record/ Earth Artifact/ TFD1411
