Books

Grade-appropriate, trusted trade books allow learners to discover new worlds while practicing reading.

Writing Journal

Grade-level journals offer an organized tool for reading response and handwriting practice. Journal writing helps children process feelings, build writing skills, and communicate their ideas.

Year-Round Reading and Writing Suggestions

Dedicate 30 minutes for reading daily.

Learners who read at least 30 minutes a day encounter more vocabulary and build important reading skills.

Building Writers

Learners get supplemental writing practice in one activity book. Building Writers offers structured practice to develop narrative, informative, and opinion writing skills.

Choose appropriate level books.

Select appropriately leveled, interesting books that are not frustratingly too difficult to read or too easy. Our books are divided by grade level. Select the level that is just right for your child.

At-Home Instructions and Tips
