Handwriting Without Tears is an effective evidence-based intervention.

Students who participated in HWT averaged a more than 3-point gain between winter and spring than students who did not participate in HWT. Subgroup analyses showed that HWT had significant impact across all Grade 1 students, as well as for IEP students.
