Semi-intensive vegetated roofs are mid-weight systems with substantial stormwater holding capacity which can contain a variety of plants due to increased soil depths, and can support a moderate level of pedestrian access.

Our Perennial Garden System offers a vegetated roofing option that is affordable while simultaneously allowing for design creativity. We offer both root barrier and non-root barrier systems, based on whether your vegetative roof’s waterproof membrane is root resistant or not. The components of the system are as follows:
