An effective means of harvesting stormwater is through the use of a cistern. Cisterns vary in size, shape, and how they are utilized. In all cases, they take excess stormwater and hold it to either keep it out of storm sewer systems or for various recycled stormwater re-uses. Hanging Gardens offers multiple different stormwater harvesting cells with ranging compressive strengths to accomodate many weight load capacities. These cells serve as rigid void space to store water for on-site management needs.

Stormwater Harvesting Cells are sub-surface water infiltration storage tanks that provide an efficient, cost effective and ecologically sustainable solution for stormwater control and management. Small Project Cells offer many advantages: generally utilized for smaller projects needing less than 1,000 gallons of stormwater harvesting restores on-site natural water filtration, controls the release of surface run-off, and also harvests water for on-site reuse used in the construction of open ground areas such as parking areas, driveways, playgrounds, and sports fields modular units are easily transported and assembled on site by clipping together interlocking panels
