Imagine a Hebrew School where children don’t want to miss a day.

They come in with a smile and leave humming a Jewish

tune.

Walking through the rooms, you can hear the sounds of lively

learning, song and laughter.

Imagine a child who grows up with the warmth and spirit of Judaism, carrying the pride of their Jewish

identity into their adult lives.

Introducing the Gan, an engaging, hands on educational program brought to you by Chabad of Belgravia. Founded on the belief that successful education is a result of exploration and creativity, the Gan invites the children to actively engage with their Jewish heritage through discussion, crafts, song and drama. Our warm and dynamic staff emphasize personal attention and care, ensuring the individualized success of each student.

“Our kids just love coming to Hebrew School. They ask me all week ‘How long is it until Sunday? When can we go to Hebrew School’?” Nicole RonsonAllalouf, Mum of Lucy & George

Modeled after the Martial Arts motivational system, the children progress through the colour coded levels as they attain reading skills, until they reach the level of Black Aleph Champ and are fluent Hebrew readers. Through the use of story, song and motion, the Hebrew language comes to life as it is incorporated into every day contexts. As a result, the children

THE STAFF

At the Gan we understand that we are only as good as our teachers are. With that in mind, we cultivated a team of enthusiastic educators professionally trained to engage the children’s natural curiosity and thirst for knowledge. Amongst our warm and caring staff, students feel safe to explore, learn and grow.

“Here at the Gan, we aim to create an individualized Jewish experience so that each student develops a unique and meaningful connection with their Jewish identity. Our lessons instill Jewish values in a fun and everlasting way.”

Chevie Cousin, Director Bachelor of Arts in Special Education Qualified Teacher Status — Primary Education 8+ years educational experience

In today’s world very little about our children’s future can be taken for granted. Their sense of Jewish identity, self-confidence, and values should be consciously nurtured and developed over time with much thought and effort. At the Gan we are committed to creating the perfect environment to facilitate precisely that type of growth. As far as we are concerned, your Nachas is our Nachas! Rabbi Mendel and Chana Kalmenson, Executive Directors of Chabad Belgravia
