DESIGNERS TO WATCH
Spring/ summer 2015
MIUNIKU
Designer sisters Tina and Nikita Sutradhar’s work could be likened to none other than iconic Italian Fashion label Miu Miu. The injection of bright primary colours contrasted with whites and blacks makes their designs really pop, whilst the chic cut of the clothing remains loyal to a grown up aesthetic, providing a collection relevant to all ages. Slogans too relate to a certain modernity, appealing perhaps to a younger crowd. Their collections are fun and energetic, whilst remaining desirable.
FINERY
Finery London showcased their debut collection only this year. It incorporates expensive-looking, clean cut designs at high street prices- making it an easy go to for the savvy shopper.
With print work considerably similar to the likes of Peter Pilotto, it’s almost too hard to believe the price range of the brand. With dresses starting at just £35, the brand could be seen to rival Zara as the high street’s new ambassador. Soft hues make for the perfect girls’ girl- yet the mid lengths appeal to women of an older age also.
COPERNI FEMME
Parisian brand Coperni Femme uses sensual shapes in a very minimal way. The designs are easy to wear, focusing on a muted colour palate for optimum wear. Collections include layered pieces which can be easily incorporated into the everyday wardrobe, with feminine yet sporty dresses and 90’s inspired spaghetti strap tops being more signature pieces. Readily accessible online, the collection would appeal to the Style reader.
