SCF manages more than 13,000 containers throughout Australia as well as a depot network including Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Melbourne, Karratha, Perth and Sydney. Our Chinese office in Jiangsu oversees the manufacture of all products. A team of four operates wholly out of this office, actively working with local suppliers.

Richard has over twenty five years’ experience in the Australian transport industry including management of various transport businesses, owning and operating furniture removal companies, and building and leasing container equipment.

Justin joined SCF as the Chief Operating Officer bringing extensive experience in Supply Chain and Logistics management with over 24 years’ experience in the Logistics industry.

Nicholas Woodward brings a wealth of international finance experience to SCF having worked in a senior finance role for the past 15 years with leading intermodal services group Bilfinger Berger / AMCEL.

As Chief Strategy Officer at SCF, Ben brings a proven capability and extensive experience in strategy development, commercial management, contract negotiation and change management.

His experience covers various modes of transport including intermodal and heavy haulage operations; working with clients such as BHP Biliton, Bluescope, CUB and Coles to deliver superior solutions in metropolitan as well as challenging regional locations.

Specialising in commercialisation and implementation of large projects and working with multi-national teams, Nicholas has worked in Scotland, Canada, Panama and Indonesia.

Coming from a long career with Woolworths as Logistics Strategy and Development Manager, Ben’s primary focus at SCF is to develop and execute strategies that will expand the business to its full potential, whilst ensuring the attention always remains on the customer.

In addition to this, Richard has spent three years in the finance industry which has given him a broad understanding of the financial principles involved in funding and managing cost effective equipment for the Australian transport industry. He build his career on the strong foundations of loading and driving trucks, before applying his vision and innovation to managing various transport and furniture removal companies, with great success.

Justin has attended the Darden School of Business at the Universtiy of Virginia USA and is experienced and focused on professional project delivery.

His main focus is on financial processes, finance team development, IT, payroll and statutory compliance. Nicholas has a Bachelor in Economics majoring in Professional Accounting.

Ben has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Sydney University and a Masters in management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management.

SCF refrigerated containers have a specialised insulation design allowing for improved thermal properties, maintaining temperature longer, and reducing machinery run time. The low tare weight allows for an increased payload, maximising potential earnings with heavy loads, without compromising strength. Additionally, there is increased protection on high risk damage areas to reduce ongoing damage costs and equipment downtime, therefore providing higher utilisation.

As one of the most frequently used containers in Australia, SCF dry containers are built light to maximise payload and revenue earning ability, without compromising on structural integrity or operational features. The SCF 40’ and 48’ 2 Pallet Wide End Door Dry Containers provides one of the largest cubic capacities in the market, whilst maintaining a low tare weight and feature rich product. The result is a container that is flexible, yet does not compromise on quality and operational requirements.

The SCF 20’ Side-Door is built to perform in the harshest of conditions. A versatile container most suited for 2 pallet wide heavy or dense freight including irregular freight such as steel coils and machinery. Benefits of these container include the low tare weight, steel side doors which allow for fast HSE compliant operation and increased protection on high risk damage areas to reduce ongoing damage costs and equipment downtime.

Fully compliant with Australian Standards and Work Safe, the pneumatic tank features an internal pressurisation and pneumatic load system, which allows products such as cement powder, lime and fly-ash to be transported intermodally over long distances, delivering immense cost savings to supply chains. Approved by all statutory bodies and inspected by third party marine surveyors to ensure cleanliness and safety standards, you can be assured that our units are suitable for your cargo.

Our Bulk Liquid Tank containers can be used for on-site storage in the water treatment and chemical storage sectors. Each unit is designed to allow for the production of a base model with cost effective upgrades for specific requirements. Tanks are fitted with 8 inch manifolds with multiple 4 inch couplings. This allows units to be easily combined to tank farms. Tanks are fitted with AS 1657 compliant stairs as well as mounting points for agitators and Gunn lines. Additional options include, DNV heli-lift capable unit for remote air lift or offshore requirement, brine and mud mixing, sediment separation and hook truck compatible.

Tanks can be supplied for the transport of class 3 and class A chemicals, and are easily transported between road, rail and sea. Approved by all statutory bodies and inspected by third party marine surveyors to ensure cleanliness and safety standards, you can be assured that our units are suitable for your cargo. SCF ISO Tanks are available for short or long term hire, to align your commitment to the time of your project, freeing up cash flow for use in other areas of your business.

TANK SERVICES With numerous undercover repair bays at both our Brisbane and Melbourne depots, the services we provide include: • ISO tank cleaning – food and chemical grade using high pressure mechanical spinner • Modification and full refurbishment of used ISO tanks • Full repairs – structural and part replacement including valves and gaskets • Empty and full tank storage (depending on cargo) • 2.5 and 5 year statutory testing • Decanting product into IBC’s and disposal • Confined space entry.

The open plan layout of these units allow for flexibility in design, with a wide range of options available to meet the specific office requirements of your site. Simple to transport and set-up, units can be deployed to metro and remote locations with ease. With each Site Office having 3 phase power, insulation and air conditioning as standard, the containers allow you to work in comfort, no matter where you are or whatever the weather.

Our 20’ containers which are a convenient solution for temporary and permanent living and working spaces. The range offers flexibility based on your requirements with premium units including a kitchen and bathroom. Our 40’ format and can comfortably house up to four people in the 4 bedroom bunkhouse format or singles/couples with a living room and bedroom. Premium units include kitchen and bathroom facilities in a wide range of layouts.

WORKSHOP / STORAGE CONTAINER SERVICES • 20 ft • 40 ft Built strong and to last, each workshop is built using a 20’ or 40’ container sharing the same level of security, durability and transportability. When combined with hard-wearing workshop equipment, it becomes an additional workspace with a wide range of applications. These workshops have been deployed in some of the harshest environments in Australia as they ensure a safe workspace no matter the surrounding conditions. Once delivered, they are ready to get to work from day one. With a wide range of options available, from standard shelving to heavy-duty aluminium flooring, there is a fit-out suitable for every site.

At SCF we do more than just supply containers. We also modify, customise and supply the extras to make it a perfect transport and storage solution for your needs. Some examples of modifications include adding doors and windows; extending the length of the container; painting the unit in your preferred colour; as well as adding ventilation, insulation, air conditioning and power. Common accessories include locks and lockboxes (for added security), shelving for equipment storage and organisation, ramps and lockers and storage cabinets inside the unit. Our modification and design capability extends across our entire product range, such as adding ground operated air relief valves to tank containers for site compliance or customising a refrigerated container for particular freight.
