page layout Page layout is a crucial aspect of a publication because, oftentimes, how a message is presented is as important as the message itself. The layout of a publication must be clear, easy to read, and interesting enough to its intended audience in order to communicate ideas and information in the best possible way.
electronic publishing Electronic publishing, also known as e-publishing or digital publishing, is the publication of digital files such as e-books and digital magazines. Unlike traditional publishing, electronic publishing requires no printing because it distributes files digitally (through the internet, file sharing, mobile and tablet devices, or e-readers) instead of producing physical paper copies of a document. Electronic publishing is a huge step in technological advancement, allowing ideas and information to spread more quickly and to a wider audience. The internet, one of the major ways through which digital files are shared, makes it possible for information to travel across continents in mere seconds. Events like new scientific discoveries or ideas about global issues, such as climate change and terrorism, can reach worldwide audiences, bringing us as a global community closer together.
