February 2011 Approached Ann Hyde of URBACT about accessing EU initiatives and funding. Volunteer Studio have agreed to write a case study of the project for the Roma Net event in Almeria, March 2011.

Youth in Action grant of 13,240 Euros confirmed.

Attended the talk ‘.....’ led by Catalin Berescu at the Romanian Cultural Centre, London.

Approached journalist Peter Popham of The Independent about potential coverage of the project of which he showed a great interest.

Applied to AfHUK for potential collaboration using prject checklist provided by Katherine McNeil.

FAST Romania

Meeting with Alina Constintanu of British Council, Romania discussing EU fundraising and potential collaboration during facilitation of workshops. Members of Volunteer Studio first volunteered with FAST, assisting with the Better Homes programme.

Launch of Tarlungeni Open Space Project during visit to FAST and site in the Roma settlement of Tarlungeni.

Meeting with Town Hall of Tarlungeni confirms their continuous support of the project.

Initial meeting to introduce the project with the President of The National Roma Agency, Bucharest has been set up by Daniel Hristea of FAST for when we return to Romania in March.
