THE POD The Pod is a home for young women with children aging out of the foster care system. The design consists of a day-care and apartment style living units.
P
D
The day-care would be open to the public to create income and provide jobs for the young women occupying the building. The space is split into two sides to divide by the ages of the children attending. The brand is clearly represented throughout the day-care, an example is the circular carpet pattern that appears around the areas children will be most active.

The space was designed with children in mind. Low ceiling fixtures and children’s furniture make the space not only safe but also more enjoyable for the children. A wide range of patterned textiles were used to create a stimulating and playful environment.
The check-in area keeps the process of separation in mind. There a transparent wall partitions the parents from the day-care, this way parents can watch their children get associated with their new environment.
Custom foam playpens ,that resemble peas, were designed for function and aesthetics. Sheer white privacy curtains are used to separate the nursery from the rest of the space on the infant side of the day-care.
KINK KINK is a sports medicine clinic located in Los Angeles California right off of the downtown area. The location is close to the Staples Center and also major surrounding schools. The design concept is based off joints and movement of the human body. It’s a high energy, sleek and functional space with large corridors and clear wayfinding to ensure efficient circulation of staff and patients.
The gym is laid out with easy access to pilates, hydrotherapy and the locker rooms. The workout equipment is placed so patients have sufficient views of the city. A ceiling installation creates a high-end custom backdrop and adds excitement to the space.

A large version of the logo projects out from the wall behind the front desk branding the space. Large amounts of comfortable seating creates a lounge-like feel.
The lounge contains functional seating and serves as a second waiting room for family or relaxation zone for patients.
The hydrotherapy room is raised to allow for the pools to be in ground. There is a wheelchair lift and also two sets of stairs for adequate access to the space. The incorporation of entertainment and the use of mosaic tiles and wood creates a warm, restful space for patients to relax during their session.
F E E D FEED is a farm to table restaurant located in downtown Omaha. The modern rustic design is based off of a dilapidated barn focusing in on how light filters through the structure. Custom screens and backlit lazer cut wall installations create the experience of being inside a barn.

The bar acts as the centerpiece to the restaurant, the metal frame displays and stores infused vodkas. The modern bar stools featuring all of the plaids within the space ties the two sides together.
The Restaurant is split in half to support the rise in the vegetarian based diet. One half is designed for the carnivore and one is designed for the Vegetarian. This is done by a change in the color of the wood and plaids.

Hanging edison bulbs dangle against the wall behind the bed. Beige leather on a large set of lounge chairs and thick tweed curtains create bring warmth and comfort into the space. This is complimented by the wood on the floors, ceiling and walls.
Redwood logs are suspended from the ceiling to create the experience of looking up into the canopy of trees. A conversation pit is incorporated into the bar area to create a more intimate space to retreat to.

A U R U M Aurum is an organic cosmetic store targeting middle aged women. The brand and logo are based off of the golden rectangle. To help emphasize the organic aspect I incorporated natural materials into my concept to reflect natural beauty and the organic makeup line. My design philosophy is function before form playing a large role in the layout and details of the retail store.

An array of ornate gold mirrors flank the walls along with custom display cubes placed at eye level.
O F F I C E D E S I G N The concept of my design was to create a functional modern office space keeping mod in mind. I did this by adding color selectively and using a range of furniture to suit the atmosphere. The space contains a large art gallery at the entrance.
The furniture pieces work with another to help the function and atmosphere. Assigned art pieces were incorporated into the design along with a selection of vegetation to bring character and life into the space.
