People’s Realities (Class) Upper: these are the people who are really wealthy and has a very high educational background and can be classed as upper may be due to status or educational background Middle: these are the people who are neither too rich nor too poor and are what other people call ‘bourgeoisie’ meaning that they either run a business or something relating to that Lower: these are the people who are physically working (labour) to pay ends meet, also, these people tend to be more apathetic about everything more than others Children: these are the young people of Britain who doesn’t have a care in the world and will do anything that will make them happy
Gritty British Realism This is when a British film reveals what actually happens in the life of an ordinary British citizen. This means that it won’t be as traditional as thought of at first. For example, it will somehow show that Britons don’t always have ‘tea parties’ and has a ‘carefree life’, it will show that young Britons of today are suffering and find it very difficult to communicate with others which may lead to an assortment of crime, drugs, negligence and disrespect Examples of this genre are the following:
