Distinctive Programs
Business Scholars Program —100 percent of Business Scholars are taught by corporateborn faculty and graduate with a projectbased internship, extensive business skills training and experience in consulting in the development of local businesses. Education Certification/Licensure Program — prospective teachers at Hanover gain experience in area classrooms in their first year and graduate with a specialty degree, teaching certificate, and optional special education mild interventions licensure. Health & Biomedical Sciences Program — Hanover is the only institution in the state of Indiana whose pre-health science students have hands-on access to a human patient simulator and human cadaver dissection as undergraduates. Environmental Sciences — Karns Biology Trail, Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge and the Ohio River.

Off-Campus Study
Presently, 56 percent of the student body will travel off-campus for study before graduating and one quarter of our students travel offcampus more than once. Students can take advantage of semester long study abroad programs in 18 different countries, May Term classes taught around the world and independent learning opportunities through the Richter grant program. Hanover also offers domestic internship opportunities in Philadelphia, Chicago and Washington D.C.

Hanover is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. Hanover’s Teacher Certification Program is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education and the Indiana Professional Standards Board.
National Recognition
• For the ninth consecutive year, The Princeton Review has named Hanover one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education. The New York-based education services company features Hanover in its guide, “The Best 378 Colleges – 2014 Edition.” The annual publication selected just 15 percent of 2,500 four-year colleges in the U.S. for this distinction. • Forbes magazine named Hanover one of the top schools in the U.S. for financial health. Hanover ranked 106th out of 925 private, non-profit colleges and universities. The College earned a grade A for financial health with an overall grade-point average of 3.695 out of a possible 4.500 points. Hanover ranked 276th in Forbes’ sixth-annual ranking of “America’s Best Colleges.”
Panther Athletics
The Horner Center, a 107,000 square-foot athletic facility, is the home of Panther Athletics. As a NCAA Division III program, Hanover competes in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) comprised of nine schools from three states. One third of the student body competes in at least one of the following sports: Baseball (M), Basketball (M/W), Cross Country (M/W), Football (M), Golf (M/W), Lacrosse (M/W), Soccer (M/W), Softball (W), Tennis (M/W), Track and Field (M/W), Volleyball (W).
Our Community
Hanover is situated just west of historic Madison, IN. Once a major river port for the state, Madison (population 12,000) has maintained its sense of 19th century heritage with 133 city blocks on the National Register of Historic Places, designating it as the state’s largest historic district. In 2016, Madison was nationally recognized as a finalist in America’s Best Communities competition.
