ABOUT ME
I am a 3rd year undergraduate architecture student. For the time being, I'm looking for an intern possition and it will be my very first step of my future career. Most of my inspirations come from my everyday life, as well as stories I heard from ordinary people around me, sometimes they come from movies, literature, or music. My work follows themes of reinvention, experimentation and conceptual metaphors. I look for relevant references and concepts that are challenging and unique, with the ultimate goal to translate them in to physical forms that work, inspire people and benefit communities. I explore the possibilities and constraints through research to create a new understanding towards a better design solution.

GALLERY x CAFE UNSW
The objective of this project was to design an imagined semi-permanant space serving as a cafĂŠ and a gallery. It sits on a lawn between the UNSW main walkway and Block House. The site context is rather suppressed, with one side flanked by the Block House, and a constant flow of commuters on the other. Thus, the project has the potential to serve as the extension of the main walk way.

THE JUNCTION
CONCEPT
DECONSTRUCTION / RECONSTRUCTION
The idea of the "Junction" was inspired by Malevich's abstract, geometric art. In this case, it can be understood as reconstruction of the deconstruction of the original context. Where different elements were put together, articulated, and new spaces were formed.

TERRACE HOUSE & URBAN BLOCK MILLERS POINT
This project was to design a terrace house and an urban block in Millers Point, Sydney. The site's identity has varied throughout history, with different functions and identities laid on one another. It is crucial to take different aspects of the local typology into consideration and find a place where tradition and modernity meet.

TERRACE HOUSE & URBAN BLOCK
The urban square aims to create a place suitable for all ages and able to accommodation multiple activities. The base level consists of a number of columns with lights on top. The columns here are read as non-permanant objects and thus resonate with the site’s ever changing identity. The fly loft above can be used as pavilion, while it also acts as a shading device for the space (amphitheatre) below.

EXPERIMENTAL ART FOUNDATION WAVERTON
This studio focuses on the design of an Experimental Art Foundation [EAF] and associated landscapes on the old Coal Loader site at Waverton, Sydney. It comprises a range of buildings and landscapes in which artists work to produce diverse forms of contemporary art. For this project, we have to examine the existing context and propose a strategy that redefines the Coal Loader site. The drawing on the left depicts the site as a layered entity. Given its original purpose and the nature of the site, the platform has a strong sense of horizontality and lack of vertical connections. By creating voids that go through the vertical dimension, can help balance the overall experience. 13
CONCEPT
The Endless River
endless /ˈendləs/ adj. never finishing, or seeming never to finish: We used to have endless arguments about politics. He seems to think that I have an endless supply of money. The possibilities are endless.
river
/ˈrɪv.ər/
adj. a natural wide flow of fresh water across the land into the sea, a lake, or another river: We sailed up river.
The "river"(thread) can be read as a medium, in which all the layers are connected by this "river". This notion of the river is translated into physical form, as the "void"--the open space in the midst. "There's a thread that ties things together."
The "thread" creates tensions and compressions within different parts of the site. Visiters are able to experience the ambience while moving through different section of the site.

NATIONAL GALLERY OF VICTORIA ARCHITECTURE COMMISSION COMPETITION
MELBOURNE
This is a competition I took part in while interning at Lockhart-Krause Architects. Competitors were invited to activate the garden with an engaging temporary structure or installation. Design proposals could fulfil various roles including a performance space, a work of speculative architecture, a landscape intervention, a place designed for playful interaction, or an immersive space for reflection. 19
GAR GALL
RDEN LERY
The National Gallery of Victoria Garden is a unique cultural and civic space in the heart of Melbourne, yet it is also a sculpture garden built on a roof deck structure, and as such presents a particular set of challenges – spatially and technically. As such the commission is expected to deliver a compelling response to the site while also utilising low impact design and construction methodologies that intelligently respond to the site condition. 20
The proposal respects the tradition reinterprets the defensive fortress like design of the NGV into an austere black pavilion, dark, it de-materializes into the garden with a 'moat of trees' protecting a special white courtyard at its heart.
