The relationship between shade and trees, thin and small trunks, can support such a large canopy, charm is his structure. Gothic architecture also elaborated on him, and my elaboration was simpler: the crown was round and the trunk was a branch. I want to simulate sunlight, then add some spotlights to test. I went back to the studio, and this time it really brought me a surprise. I kept adding spotlights, and finally, I thought that I had achieved a kind of harmony with the shade of trees. And this can be well combined with my intergenerational space, allowing birds to come in through different holes, which also provides good auditory stimulation to dementia people.

In a bright sunny day, if the sunshine is strong enough, the light and shadow on the floor will enough to make dementia people confuse, which is what I need to avoid.

I incorporated translucent glass to blur the high contrast light and shadow on the floor, while also giving larger windows and glass throughout the building and wandering path. This idea would guarantee the view for dementia people without bothering by the light contrast.

the beginning, I was in charge of landscape design, using parametric technology to help the architect build a bridge, and combined with the water of the Chinese garden's logic to design the landscape at the school gate. The design of the tree pool in the water gives the school a flow, light and shadow, simple and ethereal. The project was almost complete for most of the design, and I gradually learned the facade changes. The design of the wayfinding system, as well as the design of vegetation, the design of small landscaping, the design of the lighting system, and the part of the construction drawings. I learned a lot about the materials and the differences in design in different countries.

At the 2013 Shanghai Art Exhibition, Mr. Chong Yonghong designed a building, the vertical glass house, which is surrounded by walls on all sides, and the top and floor ceilling are made of glass. It is an experimental building.

At the end of 2022, the owner approached Atelie fcjz to add a building for commercial use. So I started working with the architect on the project, and I was responsible for adjusting the initial model and rendering it, which is assist the architect to do the decision.

testing different angle in plan

Later, due to my lack of professional level, another architect joined, and I also had the opportunity to learn the material and structure in detail. and seeing more different perspectives on thinking.

And the model of the vertical glass house was completed by me.

Since the rendered picture is kept by the company, no more can be obtained. However, I learned more about the rendering of different software in the company, and secondly, the placement of tables and chairs was also refined, and the number of tables and chairs that could be placed at different angles was accurately calculated.

Lixue Primary School

Location: Nan Jing

Type: education, renovation

Team leader: Jiao

Main contribution: 3D modelling, architecture drawing, spaces using design, site visiting

Lixue Primary School has a history of nearly 70 years, located in and rounded by Beijing's hutongs, there are historic buildings. I had chance to visit the site for 3 times, Primary school is small. The school was reinforced once and the walls were thick. The current problem is that the school does not have a standard running squd of 400m, and students lack professional classrooms and adequate toilets.

The solution we gave was to add a new platform to change the internal space of the school and make the best use of all the space. As well as giving the school a new façade.

原本建筑

Modular Reading Space

This space was originally used as an office for the school, but now the offices are sepreated to different floors. So this space sfunctions as a reading spaces. I got a design opportunity, and Jiao told me to adopt modular design.

So I designed a lot of movable 350mx350mm small lattices, which are just enough to hold books, can be moved by students, can be used as chairs, and give two space designs, which can be combined differently.

This space was originally an unused storage room for the school, and since the dedicated classroom took up the space of the conference room and the He Long Memorial Room, Jiao decided to move the meeting room and the memorial room here, and gave me a chance to design the multple function space, I chose a more wooden display space that could correspond to her design, combined with foldable doors.

SITE ANALYSIS

It was a royal monastery of the Qing Dynasty. It is located in the mountains on the outskirts of Beijing. The monasteries follow the mountain, which is high in the north and low in the south. The combination of landscape gardens and temple design. constitutes a very liberal monastic model. Bringing the scenery of the mountains into the temple.

Chinese temples are always overly decorated, and they weave together the beauty of the scenery. Similarly, the design of flowers and trees, and rockery landscapes are also. Finely broken leaves, broken flowers falling all over the ground, sparkling water, leaky rocks.

It's all combined with solid and void. Combines the have-and-don't. In order to achieve a combination that exists in non-existence, this is my understanding of the garden,

CONTEXT STUDY

This is a project that I started on my own initiative, and it shows my thinking about culture, as well as design and philosophy. The art I express is from the perspective of time and space, and I have a dialogue with the users of each era. I want to convey to the visitors the profound cultural connotation of this place, as well as the people of the past, who have a delicate pursuit of art. That is the beauty that comes from sedimentation of time, the kind of beauty that wants to bring you to another level. What kind of enjoyment

BRIEF

This part is the main part that needs to be updated and designed, and it is part of the re-addition of the design species in the Qing Dynasty, which is currently required to be rebuilt.

my understanding, the Chinese gardener, after human intervention, after the designer thinks, a kind of natural, or like a natural feeling. Therefore, in this design, I will continue this kind of design, trying to pursue natural design.

With the fluctuation of the mountains, the fence presents the beauty of curves, the beauty of freedom, this type of free design, is rare in Chinese garden design. So, I carried over this part of the design to the new hallway.

NORTH

The northern part of the mountain is on the high side, and many of the original veins of the mountain have been preserved. A lot of vegetation and rocks are stacked on top of each other, forming a natural scenery in the temple.

SOUTH

The entrance is to the south, which is at a low elevation and has a flat terrain that does not have too many rocks to block the road. Most of the buildings in the temple are located here

3 MAIN AREA

According to the chinese design philosophy, my design is mainly focused on the natural way of garden design, and the buddhist concept of nowhence. There are three main designed environments, a corridor, a pavilion restaurant, and a tea house.

16

DESIGN LOGIC

BRIEF

Unpleasure smell next to the aisle, from the gap between the tea shop, and the platfrom

SMELL

The tea room downstairs needs more interactivity with the temple itself. You want to change the original enclosed environment.

Tea-Space

Over time, the corridors and pavilions had become relatively dilapidated, so they needed to be renovated. At the same time, the design hopes to give a new idea that is different from traditional architecture, but continues traditional ideas. The environment around the corridors and pavilions also needs to be improved, and more design thinking needs to be incorporated rather than filled in the gaps

The Way Of Nature

The Nowhence

The Height Difference

The Nowhence

The philosophical thinking of Buddhism believes that everything in the world has no source and no purpose, but is a cyclical process. Water, for example, is a cyclical process that falls from the sky and flows into the sea. Therefore, the environment was designed with a flow of water. From the hillside to the south to the water pool to the north.

Stone Platform plan

The Nowhence circulation

Similarly, The Nowhence design was applied to my circulation. On the lines of circulation, I try to hide the entry and exit into a space. This design allows people to see pedestrians flickering and flickering on the way to watch. Presents a hidden, hidden effect. The layering of trees and stones visually achieves an illusory and mysterious effect

Since it is a teahouse in the space, people can enjoy fragrant tea in the Buddhist temple. My design chose to combine the cascading stone rockery with the existing teahouse. form a new one

On the side of this corridor, there is a stone landscape with a small amount of water features. However, with height difference, it is not well integrated with the corridor. I chose to mix that the stacked stones extended between the corridors. The stacked stones and pillars are mixed with each other, and the stone and brick faces are blended with each other.

In this step, I combined the corridor and the tea room and transitioned to make the whole environment more natural. According to the above several small structures, the language of the corridor is combined.

At the same time, the language of natural wood and rockery is mixed, and the vertical stones and vertical trees are intertwined, showing a mixed feeling that is beyond ordinary landscape design in the window of the pavilion and the picture.

The language of the corridor is also produced in this

Language Of Tea House

To enhance the playability of the stones, I used a different stacked stone design. Tea tables, chairs, incense tables, and other designs are provided, inspired by ancient Chinese paintings. The ancient Chinese greatly admired the beauty of nature and longed to experience the beauty of daily life in a near-natural environment.

VIEWS DEVELOPMENT

ORIGINAL (TING) DEVELOPMENT

There are four-cornered pavilions, five-cornered pavilions, and hexagonal pavilions in Chinese-style architecture. In this garden, a hexagonal pavilion is used, and the visual switching of multiple angles cuts the continuous landscape design into small drawings.

STUDY FROM THE LINGLUE TING

(north of the garden)

In the further section, the pavilion is to be transformed into a place for dining.

The interior space does not need to be completely occluded.

The original pavilion has no special design in terms of vision, and the surrounding scenery is also very ordinary, no carefully designed

DESIGNED VIEWS

But the nature i want is determined by the scenery, and where it needs to be seen. So in the same way, this pavilion was also made into a hexagonal pavilion. And my inspiration comes from taihu stone, which the chinese say is, thin, leaky, transthough, wrinkled. And i transferred the characteristics of these stones to the pavilion.

flower walls, wooden windows. The result is a rich and flexible picture with rich tones and light and shadow effects.

In the process of studying the structure of ancient Chinese architecture, I realized that wood structure technology is a long life that follows the development of culture. It can continue to change and continue to evolve with my design, which is a practice that I intend to do in the future

SECTION

Garden design often relies on the spatial sequence and landscape sequence that are flexible and as rhythmic as possible. So between the doors, let the outside scenery show, attracting people to taste the scenery in the garden.

Decoration systems will also be applied
