GENUINE ORIGINALS COST THE EARTH... OURS COMES FROM IT.

THE ORIGINAL SOURCE

The Holywell Spring is the original source of English bottled water. For centuries, the illustrious name of Holywell water has been revered. In 1558 the spring was bequeathed as a gift from Queen Elizabeth I to a local family, the Hornyolds, under whose ownership it remained until 1919.

A stipulation of the gift was that the spring must remain accessible to all who would benefit from drinking the water. Records show that bottling began on the site of the Holywell as early as 1622 and the spring water has been used in times of drought, illness and to revitalise weary travellers ever since.

Holywell’s water was analysed by Dr John Wall in 1747 who stated ‘The Malvern Waters is famed for containing just nothing at all.’ Today, Holywell Spring Water continues to offer the same refreshing taste as it did in the 18th century.

The natural filtration process through the compressed Precambrian rock of the Malvern Hills, ensures that the water retains its purity and remains as revitalising today as it’s always been. Find out more about the unique provenance of Holywell Spring Water at: www.holywellspringwater.co.uk
