The Rationale: Interior architecture can include userspecific commercial interiors such as offices, banks or retail, education, health or cultural facilities as well as interiors for hospitality or entertainment. The module gave a grounding in interior architectural design and allow experiential learning through an appropriate design project, opening me to the challenges and creative opportunities of interior architecture.
V I S U A L S
The Brief: Design a composite studio set for the interior scenes of a drama production as described in the script provided. Exterior scenes were recorded on location, Interior scenes were recorded in a TV studio (plan provided) There is a relationship between interior and exterior scenes which I had to consider carefully; views through windows and doors etc…

All walls are 50 mm thick timber frames. Supported by weighted Wall supports. All walls are to be designed before assembly. 
 All walls are brought in and assembled within the studio. 
 Moveable kitchen wall to create space for camera shots (patio door wall). Staircase 800 mm wide, all doorways can open for extra camera shots. Door frames are constructed off site and fixed in to place. Set two has a part hallway for any camera shots within the study which could potentially have the hallway in view. Movable wall with window. This moves around to create a wall on the right side for camera shots which are needed. Chimney breast is removable for camera angles of the sofa.
