ENCLOSURES LCA
Roof Limitations:
● For all roof types, there was a high variability in terms of material layers and their EPDs. The thicknesses were input based on the Revit wall construction and could not accurately reflect the roof construction in the field as insulation typically slopes.

● The densities of all material EPDs without densities internalized were obtained from an ASHRAE search.
● The Revit model also at times had overlapping elements making selection a challenge.
Exterior Walls & Glazing Limitations:
● The materials of clear glazing and spandrel glass are the same due to the limited options in the EPD databases.
● For all wall types, there was a high variability in terms of material layers and their EPDs. The thicknesses were input based on the Revit wall construction and could not accurately reflect the wall construction in the field.
● The densities of all material EPDs without densities internalized were obtained from an ASHRAE search.
● The Revit model also at times had overlapping elements making selection a challenge, especially with the exterior walls scope.
The LCA breakdown shows the highest contributor to the Enclosures GWP are the stucco walls. This is likely due to the high surface area of the walls. It contributes to 34.6% of the total GWP.
