Hello, and welcome to HCC Kids Camps, Summer 2016!

SUMMER 2016

The Continuing Education and Training division of Harford Community College is pleased to offer a wide variety of courses to children and their families, including our popular fullday summer programs, Discovering College and Kids on Campus. In addition, we are once again offering our exciting and enriching full-day science, sports, and music programs, as well as Art on Parade, Live on Stage, Pets & Vets, and Adventure Week! For those seeking half-day programs, we have something for everyone – art, cooking, drama, dance, and technology and engineering, just to name a few. NEW in 2016 – We have moved to new locations on campus this year (please see the map on page 36). All of our Continuing Education registration (including HCC Kids Camps) has moved to Darlington Hall, Entrance #2 on Thomas Run Road. The majority of our camps will now be based out of Havre de Grace Hall while Edgewood Hall undergoes renovation. Also new this summer: We are collecting all medical information electronically, so please be sure to read about this on page 39. If you have any questions, please call Leanna Gefrich at 443-412-2191. Any sports camp, adventure camp, and computer camp questions can be directed to Kathy Burley at 443-412-2113. We are excited about our programs this summer and hope to see you at one of our camps!

NEW!! Important Changes To Submission Of Health Information/Parental Waivers In our continuous efforts to provide the best possible care to our campers and staff, Harford Community College (HCC Kids) is partnering with CampDoc.com. CampDoc.com is an electronic health and emergency contact record system for camps, and will help us consolidate and integrate camper health information and emergency contact information into a centralized and secure location. Their system will give our camp administrators instant access to critical information. The security, confidentiality and privacy of your camper’s personal health and emergency contact information will always be protected. Only HCC Kids Camp staff will have access to camper health information, and the CampDoc.com site is secure, encrypted and password protected. After registering for camp, you will receive a “Welcome Email” from CampDoc.com with information about how to complete your camper’s health information. You will only need to complete this form once for each child, regardless of how many camps your child will be attending. Depending on the camp, there may be additional camp-specific waiver forms to complete. ●• Click the link in the “Welcome Email” to set a new password for your CampDoc.com account. ●• Follow the instructions, and complete the health history for your camper. Alerts will appear for any missing required information. ●• You may return to your CampDoc.com at any time to make changes/updates to your camper’s health information before camp begins. Please set register@campdoc.com as a ‘safe sender’ to avoid accidental delivery to junk and spam folders. Also, when you register, please provide us with an up-to-date email to ensure the delivery of the campdoc.com email. We are excited to continually evolve – building safer, more productive and more efficient systems to create the best experience for you and your family. We can’t wait to see you this summer!
