2 YEARS

I have learned many lessons and skills while working for the firms. I was involved in various scales and types of projects like residential, housing, hospitality, commercial, institutional and interior projects.

Working on multiple fast-paced projects taught me how to effectively manage time while staying focused. Working in a team and in proper coordination was one of the most important lessons learned. I have learned that architecture is generated by the needs of the people, with a sensitivity to the culture and climate of the place.

I. Long, linear office plans take advantage of the sun, breeze and views. Length of the office is 61m and it is only 13 m wide.

I. Spaces are connected by a central corridor for efficient day-to-day work. In Individual cabins, there are staggered courtyards that act as spill-out zones.

I. At reception & workstations natural light is taken through the skylight. Elements like peripheral beams and columns are tapered, complementing each other and further accentuating the linear form.

Location: Eklingji, Udaipur

Site area: 22,300 sq.m

Eklingji village is named after a famous temple with historical and cultural significance. Eklingji is a Hindu temple complex in Udaipur district.

Our approach to developing the resort ‘Temple Town’ was guided by the grandeur of the location.

The site is located on a hilltop facing the lake, with a slope towards it. Architecture evolved is in response to the rugged mountain topography and locally available materials, which laid the groundwork for the project. The hotel’s main block overlooks the valley and serves as a central gathering point for all of the main services. The villas, like in traditional hilly areas, are organized as a series of pavilions built on a series of stepped terraces.

It is a 12-story apartment with four 3BHK flats per floor. The carpet area of the flat is between 1800 and 2600 square feet. In this project many aspects of apartment designing were learned, such as functionality, connectivity, setback laws, parking laws, fire escape noms, budget, area requirements for various spaces, area distribution, pedestrian and vehicular circulation, amenities required, and so on.

Architecture Paradigm, Bangalore Internship

As an intern at Architecture Paradigm in Bangalore I was able to gain more experience working hands-on in a professional setting. In the firm, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and learn new skills, such as presentation drawing, working drawings, rendering, detail drawings, and on-site training. Working in a team and in proper coordination was one of the most important lessons learned during the six-month internship.
