Debbie Sandford, Department of Educational Media presented, "Be A Survivor: Economic crisis Challenging K-12". Patty O’Connor, Peachcrest Elementary; GLMA grant recipient, presented her award winning project, “Poem in my Pocket”. Joan Abraham, GLMA LMSOTY Chair, Princeton Elementary, facilitated the award winning session. Barbara Hallstrom, Canby Lane Elementary; Lummie Harris, Miller Grove Middle; Mary Thomas (retired); Wendy Smith, Evansdale Elementary; Sue Ann Prigge, Rainbow Elementary; and Gwen Green, Stephenson Middle; Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl Steering Committee Members, presented Coaching Made Easy: Preparing for the Regional Georgia Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl. Betsy Razza, Druid Hills High presented Wikipedia, the history and philosophy behind and significant impact worldwide. COMO Steering Committee members in attendance were: Valerie Ayer, GLMA President, Department of Educational Media; Betsy Razza, GLMA President-Elect, Druid Hills High School and Rosalind Dennis, GLMA Organization Maintenance Coordinator, Department of Educational Media. Other DeKalb teacher-librarians in attendance were: Maribeth Driskell, Coralwood Diagnostic Center; Buddy Quirouet, Stone Mountain Middle and Harold Grant, Kelley Lake Elementary, Alease Taylor, McNair Discovery Learning Academy, Jenny Holloman, Redan Middle and Mary Kay Will, Laurel Ridge Elementary.
