The exterior of the building is clad with a 3-sided wooden wall for privacy, leaving one side open on the balcony that faces the mountain view. Materials were sourced from Chiang Mai including used wood to give it an authentic Mae Rim district feel.
The kitchen is clad with a stainless steel bar that is sleek yet functional and looks onto the transcendent valley.

A minimal palette of rift-sawn white oak and white plaster defines the gracious interior spaces. The formal proportions, material consistency, and craftsmanship in Five Shadows were all deliberately considered to enhance privacy, serenity, and a profound connection to the outdoors.

Inspired by New York’s industrial heritage and the neighbourhood’s historical architecture, the Cortland is made of limestone, brick, and metal detailing.
The Cortland is comprised of 144 residences, ranging from studio apartments, to five-bedroom homes, to penthouses. Each of them provide a beautiful view of the Hudson River. The interior spaces have a wood, stone, and metal palette, and warm, natural colours. The high ceilings, large openings, and open-plan arrangement is intended to enhance space and maximize light. All of these are designed to make the residents feel right at home.

The palazzo – which is one of the largest private residences on Lake Como – was once owned by Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio, and features six extravagant suites, designed by acclaimed French Interior Decorator Jacques Garcia.

HOSPES PALACIO DE SAN ESTEBAN SALMANCA, SPAIN HOSPES.COM Housed in a restored 16th-century convent in the historic heart of Salamanca, the Hospes Palacio de San Esteban combines timeless Castilian charm with smart contemporary luxury. The main 16th-century building features vaulted ceilings, exposed natural wood and thick walls of Villamayor, a golden sandstone quarried from a neighbouring village. The adjoining mid-20th-century building, meanwhile, houses the convent’s original kitchen and wine cellar.
Fernando Población Iscar and Grupo Veintidos preserved original details while adding a touch of contemporary elegance. The former convent that houses the Hotel was built at the height of the Salamancan Renaissance by Dominican Friars. And they constructed it on the site of an older monastery where Christopher Colombus once paid a visit.

Drawing inspiration from the traditional architectural style of the fishing villages of Eastern Crete that surround the Hotel, the Architects wanted Minos to be in physical and conceptual harmony with the island. Together, it all comprises the first truly luxury hotel in Crete.

CONCEPCIÓ BY NOBIS CONCEPCIOBYNOBIS.COM In an historical part of Palma, the renowned Architect firm Wingårdhs has transformed a 16th-century setting into a welcoming world of brass and wood, with an artful blend of Huguet tiles and Scandinavian aesthetics.The green of the surrounding Tramuntana mountains help to define the Hotel’s color scheme. Black ceiling beams and doors contrast brilliantly with white walls and greenand-white custom-made Huguet tiles that serve as a leitmotif throughout. The interior palette is characterized by authenticity and sustainability, with local materials and crafts creating a connection to Mallorca that is underlined by a Scandinavian presence. Bespoke furniture and vintage items are augmented by such brands as Artek, B&B Italia, and OX Denmarq.
Adopting an “Architecture is art” mentality, Wingårdhs has framed its Mallorcan masterpiece around a spacious lobby/lounge. Such a large, beautifully appointed gathering place is both a rare and welcoming attribute on the island and the crown jewel of the Hotel. The lounge’s design seamlessly flows into the Hotel’s bar and restaurant. Ceramic flooring, meanwhile, brings a strong contemporary and artsy feel that augments authentic cross vaults that have been fully restored.
