PRPJECT: Water Purification Planet

product : Drinking Water

Input-Output Process INPOUT : Water source (wells) Storage, Aeration, and Mixing Flocculation and Settling Filtration Additives

PROCESS:

1.Determine the quality of water coming from wells and chemical composition of water 2.Design of aeration tanks and mixing according to international standards 3.Design of flocculation and settling tanks according to international standards 4.Selection and design the best way to purify water and reduce the rate of Total Dissolved Salts 5.Add chemicals and knowledge of the chemical composition of water after each stage

OUTPUT

(Drinking water) PROBLEM STATEMENT The project aims to design a water purification plant and make the water fit for drinking and human use. 1.Water Any water source contains impurities: bacteria, harmful contaminants, metals and pollutants, to name a few. This includes fresh mountain streams, underground creeks, reservoirs and any other body of standing or running water. 2.Storage, Aeration, and Mixing The storage and aeration process of water purification transfers the water from the water source (via pipe) and into storage tanks.

3.Flocculation and Settling

After adding and mixing the water, flocculation and settling systems are introduced. Flocculation is the continuation of the chemical mixing process, but at a much slower rate. Very small particles begin to coagulate during the slow stirring of flocculation 4.Filtration

Raw water is filtered over and over again with different filters throughout the purification procedure. Various filters are integrated into the procedure, depending on the impurities present in the water 5.Additives Chemicals are often added to the treated water for a final or near-final stage of purification. Small levels of chlorine or other disinfectants are added for deterrent reformation of bacteria

Product Summary Drinking Water is chemical compound formula (H2O) and achieve international standards through :

Calcium : 2 - 200 ppm Magnesium : 10 - 50 ppm Sodium : 10 – 100 ppm Potassium : 1 – 50 ppm iron .1 - .3 ppm

Chloride : 10 – 250 ppm Sulphate : 5 – 250 ppm Fluoride : 0.1 – 1 ppm T.D.S : 100 – 500 ppm

Project Scope

This project deals with how to purify and removal of turbidity, chemicals harmful of water and make it fit for drinking .Through the water come from wells or any other source and then passes out specific treatment and confirmation of the water with the specifications and standards, then get in the end to drinking water.
