It began as an Academy Award-winning film, then an Emmy-winning TV series and then on to the stage as riveting musical theatre—all conceived and developed by David De Silva. Keyboard Conversations® with Jeffrey Siegel American pianist Jeffrey Siegel has been a soloist with the world’s great orchestras and has collaborated with many of the pre-eminent conductors of our time. He has performed his Keyboard Conversations® at the Harris Center every year since the facility opened; the reasons for this are instantly obvious. In presenting these “concerts with lively commentary,” Mr. Siegel offers comments on the work, the composer, even the times in which the work was composed, and then gives a virtuosic performance of a piano masterpiece. International Guitar Night It’s now, officially, a Folsom tradition: International Guitar Night returns to the Harris Center, presenting four guitar luminaries in a musical conversation unlike any other. Alice Waters For 40 years, Alice Waters has created and passionately supported a culinary philosophy that maintains that food should be organic, sustainable and locally sourced. She opened her restaurant Chez Panisse in 1971, which has ranked among the “World’s 50 Best Restaurants” ever since, is vice president of Slow Food International, the author of 15 books, the corecipient, with Kofi Annan, of the Global Environmental Citizen Award from Harvard Medical School, and was named to the French Legion of Honor. In 2015 she was awarded the National Humanities Medal by President Obama, proving that eating is a political act, and that the table is a powerful means to social justice and positive change. Keyboard Conversations® with Jeffrey Siegel American pianist Jeffrey Siegel has been a soloist with the world’s great orchestras and has collaborated with many of the preeminent conductors of our time. REFUNDS All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. There are no refunds unless an event is cancelled and not replaced.

ACCESSIBILITY The Harris Center is accessible to patrons with disabilities. Wheelchair seating is available in all venues. Portable wireless listening devices are available with a small, refundable deposit or driver’s license. ASL interpreters are available for select events, when requested two weeks in advance of event. Please inform the Ticket Office of any special needs when ordering tickets.

CHILDREN All patrons are required to have a ticket, including youngsters sitting on laps. Parents are expected to take into account the subject and nature of performances when selecting shows for their children, and to make sure etiquette is a part of the theater-going experience. Parents will be asked to remove disruptive children.

PARKING Ample event parking is available in Lots C and D on the northwest side of the Folsom Lake College campus near the Harris Center. For weekday events, a $2 parking permit is required — this is included with tickets purchased in advance, or may be picked up at Will Call upon arrival. No permit is required on Friday evenings after 5 pm or anytime on Saturday or Sunday. The Harris Center for the Arts is a program of the Los Rios Community College District.
