Sale Conditions Sold under the conditions of sale as displayed in the mart recommended by the Livestock Auctioneers Association for England and Wales Please ensure all paperwork is handed into the office at least 1 hour before the animals enter the sale ring All cattle must be double tagged with Ministry approved tags and information supplied on the respective entry forms It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that any animals destined for the food chain are outwith any withdrawal period. This includes antibiotics and anthelmintics that the seller may have given prior to sale. Payment will only be made to the exhibitor. No lots can leave the market without a pass slip being issued by the main office TB Testing: All cattle over the age of 41days moving out of yearly testing herds must be premovement tested within 60 days prior to the sale. The yearly TB testing interval of the herd consignment will be provided on the display board at the point of sale. The yearly testing interval will be signified by the numbers 1 or 4. The information is given for guidance only, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd accept no responsibility for any consequences of such information All purchasers have two working days from the time of sale to satisfy themselves that all documentation received is correct and any discrepancies must be notified to the auctioneers within the time limit No cow or heifer in the last 10% of pregnancy (approximately 27 days), or that has given birth in the last week, are considered not fit for transport, and are also unfit for presentation at a market. UDDER WARRANTY Unless otherwise stated or announced, any cow or heifer in-milk at the time of the sale shall carry a Vendors Warranty that she is correct in udder and teats at the time of sale. Any claim under this warranty must be notified to the Auctioneers within one hour of the close of the sale, which can be submitted on an oral basis. If the auctioneers are satisfied that the udder is not correct in all respects, and does not comply with the warranty given, the sale of the animal can be cancelled.
