W EL COME T O H A R RODS Throughout August, Harrods is showcasing the finest craftsmanship in its “Made with Love” celebration. Using skills handed down through the generations, the most talented artisans have created pieces ranging from handmade furniture to meticulously stitched leather bags. More elegant workmanship is on show in an exhibition on the Second and Third Floors featuring bespoke homewares. There’s also an opportunity to discover the new luxury of individualism, adding a monogram to a purchase, perhaps, or even collaborating with a designer – on anything from a flacon of perfume to a chandelier – to turn a dream into a bespoke reality.

In fashion, feathers and prints come into sharp focus in the AW14 womenswear collections, while menswear takes a dark, dramatic direction for the new season.
