Furthermore, Anderson house also conducted a bake sale to help fund the Branches of Hope Christmas Party that Ms Yang is organising. With the help of lots of enthusiastic volunteers in Anderson, we were able to sell a variety of baked goods ,which sold quickly, within just two lunch times Hopefully these charity events are able to make a real impact on the real people that we strive to protect and provide for and I’m looking forward to organising more in the future.

This term, Banks House participated in the Box of Hope collection, joining our fellow houses in making a positive impact in our community. We are proud to have played a part in this meaningful event. We are also excited to announce our upcoming Banks’ Christmas Donuts Corner on December 6th!

This festive event promises to bring joy and delicious treats while raising funds for our house charity, Branches of Hope. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating the season and supporting a great cause. Stay tuned for highlights from our donut event!

Next term, Peel has put a heavy emphasis on Charity. With events such as Taco making, Bake sale as well as more fun activities all on the calendar Long Ducker also happens next term and Peel House is looking to raise as much money as possible for Crossroads. Overall, it has been a great first term for Charity and we look forward to the rest of the academic year.

GREEN POWER

Nightingale-Sun

The boys in Sun house recently participated in the Branches of Hope football tournament, where we played with people from all over Hong Kong, and came a very respectable 3rd place.

Branches of Hope has organised an annual charity football tournament to bring together our community and raise awareness and support for the organisation’s work assisting refugees, asylum seekers, and survivors of human trafficking.

IMPACT HK

This term has been incredibly productive for our charity initiatives! We are thrilled to announce that we have collected a total of 80 boxes for the Box of Hope, with a special shoutout to Evelyn Chan for her generous donation of 20 boxes. In addition, we are excited to share that we are in the process of designing an in-house charity board to display important information about our charity, volunteer opportunities, and a special award for our Volunteer of the Month.

Keller

This year Keller house is delighted to support SPCA, a non profit organisation that offers and promoting concerns around animal welfare. Over the term, Keller held the biggest charity event Spooktakular in relation to celebrate Halloween. Prep schoolers immersed themselves in the Halloween spirit, they were dressed up in spooky costumes ready to have fun in each activity. Keller girls prepared many different stalls in this event, such as face paint, carnival games and the haunted house.
