HEALTH AND SAFETY

All students are encouraged to wear the Harrow Bangkok school uniform with pride. We hope that parents will support us in this and encourage their children to make sensible choices about footwear, hairstyles and jewellery. These sensible choices will also help to keep your children safe at school.

Please try to ensure that all items of school clothing are labelled with your child’s name or nickname and surname. Sewing the name on is the best option as this is unlikely to come off. Unfortunately, the school cannot take responsibility for lost clothes.

Shoes should have easy fastenings that your child can manage independently and should be worn with Harrow Bangkok socks. All Early Years children should come to school in appropriate school shoes as shown. All classrooms in the Early Years Centre have a ‘Shoes Off’ policy, for children, staff and visitors.

All children need a named pair of sandals or Croc-style shoes that are left in school at all times (to be worn when moving between rooms for specialist lessons or when in free flow play spaces). School shoes will be worn at playtimes, lunchtimes and when moving from the EYC to other areas of the campus.

Hair should be clean and neat and off the eyes. We ask that children with long hair must have it securely tied back. All hair accessories should be simple and black, white or navy blue.

Please be aware that necklaces do pose a health and safety risk when worn by young, active children, thus we allow necklaces that are worn for religious reasons only. No rings or bracelets please. Please try to remove any ‘tattoo’ stickers and nail polish before returning to school after a weekend or holiday.

All uniform items are available in the School Shop (except for water bottles and shoes).

Shop opening hours are 7.30am-4pm, Monday-Friday
