Useful Information ● Parent Handbook ● Remember your ID Harrow card ● Your child’s teacher will give you a Communication Diary - it will have a copy of your timetable and will let you know what days you need PE/ Splash Play kit. Key messages will be written in this. ● Your child’s class teacher will write important messages on the notice board outside the classroom.

Our School Day | Start and Finish Times Lion Cubs Parent Toddler ● Our morning sessions are MondayFriday ● They begin at 9am and finish at 11am ● We have afternoon sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays ● They begin at 12.15pm and finish at 2.15pm

What does my child need to bring? Your child will need: • A school backpack • Communication Diary (we will give you this) • A hat • A water bottle • A spare set of clothes • For younger children - nappies and wipes • Book bag and reading book (Reception) • Any medication should be taken to the Nurse’s Room. They do not need: For health and safety reasons, please do not bring any food and drink into the Early Years Centre. Please do not bring in any devices, like smart watches for example.

Uniform ● Please clearly label all items of uniform. ● We try to encourage independence in getting dressed. ● Black shoes and plain black or white trainers for PE days - easy to put on ● Your child’s timetable will tell you the days that they have PE, Splash Play or Swimming. ● On your first day - wear normal uniform

What does my child need in school? Your child needs: ● The school backpack ● Swimming/Sports bag ● Book bag and Reading Book ● A hat ● A water bottle They do not need: ● Money ● Own stationery or pencil case ● Toys ● Food (unless a special dietary requirement) ● Devices - no smart watches or phones Your child’s timetable will tell you what days they need their Swimming or PE kits. If PE day is on a House Shirt Day, children wear their House Shirt and PE shorts. Please clearly label all belongings

Communication ● Our timetables will be the same each week to help you and your child get into a consistent routine ● You will receive an email from your form teacher on Friday at 4pm at the latest which will include all the information you will need for the week ahead ● When dropping your children to school in the morning and collecting after school, you will see your child’s form teacher - they are your first point of contact if you have any worries or concerns ● Our Form Teachers and Year Group Leaders will see you each day - please ask them any questions you have ● Mr Parker, Mr Aldous and I will also be there to help with anything you need

The School Day • 07:30 - Gates Open (Students should not arrive on campus before this time) Years 1/2 - enter through the Infant Yard Years 3-5- enter through the Junior Yard • 07:45 – Doors open and bill (registration) taken at 07:50 • 08:00 – 09:05 | Lessons begin • 09:05 – 09:25 | Snack and Break • 09:25 – 11:30 | Lessons • 11:30 – 12:20 | Lunch and Playtime • 12:20 – 14:40 | Lessons • 14:40 – 16:40 | Activities

First Day | Thursday ● Timetables will be shared with you and your child on Thursday. ● Thursdays are House Shirt Days at Harrow so your child should come to school with their House Shirt and Khaki Shorts (boys) PE Shorts (girls).
