Central idea and purpose
The general purpose of this assignment was to create a tea label specifically for a tea subscription or a gift idea. The consumer would be able to order a gift box online with three tea flavours of their choice. It will not be available for sale in supermarkets, but will be sold in selected speciality tea and gift stores as well as online direct from the supplier.

Manifesto Symbolism The logo consists of 3 tear drops representing tea leaves. The 3 shapes signify the 3 sides of a triangle, which is the central theme of the design. The tea will be packaged in triangle shaped boxes with a triangle pattern with varying colours depending on the tea flavour.
Relationship I have aimed to tie each design element to each other. Every element has a reason and a purpose. The triangle design relates back to the brand name ‘Trifusions’ which was decided as each tea is a fusion of flavour and is a triangle box.
Tone The package will aim to be quirky but refined, evoking a fun and uplifting vibe. This will be created with a vibrant triangle pattern, zesty colours and a geometric logo.
Colour Each colour scheme directly relates to the tea flavour. Earl grey is brown and orange. Green tea with mango is green and orange. Berry tea is red, pink and purple.
Style The appearance of the package is a direct reflection of the brand name, and uses extensive triangle symbolism. The colours used are intended to represent the flavour of each tea. However the coloured stroke around the tea flavour on each box was a printing error and the desired finished look is shown in the flat nets.
Materials Each box will be made from 100% recycled cardboard and will be fully recyclable. The gift box will be made from a thicker cardboard and will be fully recyclable also. The tea will be presented as loose leaf to minimise wasted materials. Each box will be designed to be refillable and consumers will be encouraged to buy refills at a discounted rate. Absolutely no sunlight or moisture will reach the tea as it is contained in a triangluar box and a gift box. The triangle shaped box is designed to save space and materials as they can be stacked like a jigsaw inside the gift box. Each gift box will come with a customised tea spoon and washable reusable chiffon tea bags.
Typography The chosen logo font is geometric to suit the triangle theme and was created using illustrator. The body text is didot to evoke a casual vibe and each tea flavour is in copperplate gothic bold to make it stand out on the package.
