Demography and Urbanization [VMR] As a part of VII semester studio, a regional level plan was formulated for Vadodara Metropolitan Region (VMR). A sectoral analysis and delineation was out for various indicators of sectors like Demographics & Urbanization, Economy, Employment, Infrastructure and Environment based on secondary resources. To come up with a regional plan, a vision, objectives, strategies and an administrative structure at a regional level was prepared. This presentation summarizes the sectoral analysis of "Demographics & Urbanization"

Sex Ratio v/s Urbanization

If we try to compare urbanization with sex ratio, we see, The rural area of Vagra has the lowest sex ratio, while the rural areas of Sojitra, Devgadbaria, Morva, and Ghoghamba have sex ratios on the higher end. Also note, Vadodara, the taluka with the highest level of urbanization, has a sex ratio just equal to the state average of 918.
